Giro Fixture Cycling Helmet

I liked this helmet a lot on first trying it on but the ear straps are sown together and cannot be adjusted which in my case meant the chin strap fit very tight against my throat and also the two ear straps met quite far below my ears. This seems like a ridiculous design given that the instruction manual says that the ear straps should meet just below the ear. In my case they met about 3cm below my ear. I ended up getting a Giro Chronicle helmet which has a little plastic piece to hold the ear straps together meaning that they can be adjusted properly. This is a much better design but it is nothing but a small piece of plastic so I'm not sure why they couldn't have used it on this helmet given that the Chronicle is quite a lot more expensive than the Fixture!

A great helmet, well made and light weight.It sits very comfortably on the head and the circumference of the band is easily adjustable via a click wheel at the rear of the helmet.The chinstraps fasten via a ratchet clasp, which is really easy to lock and adjust.The only downside is that the visor (detachable) is a very different colour to the helmet - see photo. Perhaps this isn't an issue with other colours but had I known, I would have chosen a colour that matches better.

It's always tricky buying on-line and this is the reason. This helmet is 54-61cm, but feels huge and really was not that comfortable for me, also it made me look like a mushroom head, I have 2 other helmets that look a lot more elegant than this, the comfort and look meant it was returned.

It's great to find a helmet that your child actually likes and wants to wear when he goes out, so from that perspective this is fantastic. As for practicality, it fits really well & he says it's comfortable. He really likes the way the chin strap is fastened which is easy to do with full finger gloves on.

Really good helmet! Nice and light which is a bonus also. Loved the fact that it comes with a I.C.E sticker to put on the helmet. Great touch there from Giro. Highly Reccomended!

If you've got a melon head then look elsewhere.The buckle to fasten the helmet isn't adjustable.Ventilation looked impressive and the fit was pretty good, just a shame the chin strap was terrible.

It is good product Itself used quality material ,light and well designed ,good sturdy strap .I have one negative view regarding return process .I have pay for postage for return at 3.99£ when it did fit my daughter head too large unfortunately.Eventually I decided not to return and gave to my wife .

Really good lightweight and comfortable helmet, fits we well but limited adjustment on chin straps. The colour is much lighter than suggested in the pics, would even says it's an off white.
