RCA 25 feet Handset Coil Cord, White (TP282W)

This telephone base to handset cord works GREAT on my phone! An "old-school" phone! This is a great deal BETTER than the old, worn-out cord I had! I LOVE THIS CORD!!!!

I was in a position at my mother's house where there was no electrical outlet near the land line phone socket. She wanted to be able to sit down while on the phone, so this long cord was just the thing. It plugged into the handset, and the phone just like the original cord. Used it for years.

Couldn't find this phone cord at several stores I checked so had to buy it online. Just what I needed.

I purchased the 25 foot Handset Coil Cord to be able to reach my oven and cooktop while talking on the phone. It works perfectly. My phone is mounted on the wall and I was concerned that the long coil cord would be unsightly but that was not the case. The coil returns to a nice coil even after being stretched. I am very satisfied.

I bought this to go with a phone we used a lot and for many years. It was very good and lasted many years.

Now that I am 82, I have developed a motto: "comfort, convenient and simplicty". The products I use need to have all three of these qualities. For ease and comfort, the wall hanging slim line phones we use have these cords but we use them flat on the counters or tables for our ease of use.. They allow us to walk to sitting areas for comfort in using the phones but the coils keep us from tripping. The cord is just long enough to stay off the floot but expands to the 25 feet when needed. I have ordered other coil handset products before and they didn't keep their coil shape and stretched out and I had to replace them. I like the first one so well that I replaced the cords for all three of my phones.

I have a wall phone in my laundry room and did not like having to stay within 2 feet of the phone in order to use it. I also did not want to spend much to put a longer handset cord on there, either, especially since it is in the laundry room. When I found this one for a few pennies over three bucks and free shipping (prime), I had to go for it. Although another reviewer said it was not a good quality cord, I did not find that to be true. It is serving its intended purpose and doing so quite well.

UPDATE after a few weeks of use, February 2016: Upgrading from two stars to 3.5 stars. Was forced to use this longer cord due to mobility issues. Again, not fancy, but works alright and is holding up from some abuse. Reviewed December 2015 Seems to work alright, it is an incredibly cheap looking cord compared to the black one I purchased (from a different company) alongside. Black (GE) cord is shiny and new looking, and even though this white one came in a sealed factory packaging, it looked kind of old and dingy. Works, but looks terrible, and when I tried to return it, the shipping price is conveniently the exact price as the product, aka I will not get any money back for returning the product. Spectacular. Do not buy from this seller, and do not buy this product.

This is perfect for our kitchen wall phone.....perfect colour.....so happy. A+

Finally...after several attempts to purchase a decent replacement handset cable from various sources/companies (ie Softalk, generic etc.) I'm finally happy. Also, I got lucky while it was available through Prime so didn't have to wait a month and take a chance on a but from China. I plan on wall mounting the AT&T answering machine phone which has served me so well for years. It's hard to believe how bad most replacement cables are. But this one is solid, well constructed and allows for perfect, noiseless signal transmission. I couldn't be happier with my purchase and wish I'd bought a couple more fir my other phones while Amazon.ca was selling them directly. I don't like waiting for (or gambling in) purchases from China or third party sellers.

What I wanted was a 12 foot cord. The first one I ordered--12 ft.--might have stretched to twelve feet if I wanted to risk pulling the phone off the wall. This one is advertised at 25 ft. but it's maximum practical length was twelve feet, just what I wanted. I plugged it in and it worked. Sellers need to do a better job at specifying just what they mean by 'length' when they are selling something designed to stretch.

It does what its supposed to do. It's a RCA branded cord.

Cord extension is of high quality and expands to cover a large area.
