Great product for under $10
It is made from high quality materials, the brass is machined well and functions flawlessly. It fits well in the hand and is easy to use, changing out the tips is very intuitive and easy to do. Finally this product at under $10 where other sites are selling the same product for over $40, this is a great value for your money, definitely recommend for anyone doing leather working projects at night while others are sleeping. Punches holes cleanly and evenly.

Great little hole maker
I used the screw punch to make a stencil in thin posterboard. Probably the easiest way to make holes in the center of large areas, and feels less fatiguing then plier-styled punches. Will cut through just about anything, it just may take more cycles the thicker and denser the material. It took about 15 strokes to get through the popsicle stick. They are a hard wood(Birch), and this is not the tool I would use that for, but it will cut heavy fabrics, and your cutting mat if your not careful. The operation of the tool is pretty straightforward, but it takes a little bit of practice keeping the blade nice and square to the surface, as well as how much of the stroke you would need as to not overpenetrate your cutting surface. The tool has a few downsides. On very thin paper with tightly clustered holes, you may end up tearing the paper between holes if you aren't careful. If you punch a lot of dense paper you may need to clear the tip occasionally, its designed to spill out the back, but sometimes gets too tight to self clear. You can also have the tip walk from where you set it, if you're not perfectly square, or the tip is over packed. While the tool had a small crack in the handle, it did not effect function nor do I expect it to shorten its life. The tool appereance it self is pretty cool, and build quality seems fairly robust (machined parts not stamped). The blades had some dull spots, luckily none were nicked and they still functioned fine. Overall, I couldn't make a comparable tool for anywhere near this low of a cost in materials, nor would any tool besides a cnc plotter save me time. It arrived and didn't require modifications to work, works on a pretty wide variety of materials, and put it to use right away, so 5 stars. Now I just need some 3 bladed stencil scissors...

Well designed, a joy to use
No hammer needed! just press down and punch holes. The holes can be pushed down through the tip with a pin, and come out in a handy little recessed area to be emptied out now and then. I was using the smallest tip, punching holes in red vinyl fabric. It wasn't overly thick, but this made beautiful holes. I haven't yet tried it on thicker materials. I used cardboard under my material, as my first test hole made quite a mark in my cutting mat, and I decided not to mar that further. The cardboard I used was the backing from a pad of paper, nice and hard and a good solid surface to press down on. I think that would work better than corrugated cardboard like from a box. Overall I'm very pleased with this, and look forward to punching more holes soon. My first set of holes made me cackle with glee.

Tip keeps coming off
Nice punch but the tip keeps coming off and getting stuck in the leather. Dulls easy, be sure to have a sharpener on hand.

Versatile Leather and Wood Punch
This punch works well on leather and wood with its six adjustable tip sizes. I found that clearing out the punched pieces every few punches is important, or it can get difficult to use. Rotating the punch while working makes it easier. Overall, a sturdy and versatile tool for craft projects.

place the tip vertically on the intended hole spot and just a normal press down. it will cause a sqeezing action due to some spring mechanism built in.. and a lovely Hole is born.. i wish they made stuff like this to punch little lines etc too, i need it to cut out words on leather just like branding
