Mon utilisation pour ce petit carnet de 5.5”x3.5” est de faire des croquis avec différents médiums: gouache, aquarelle, rapido, ecnre, etc. Papier épais qui absorbe bien et surtout garde sa forme. Son format le rend très intéressant pour peindre ou dessiner à l’extérieur. Je recommande fortement ce carnet qui vient aussi en format plus grand.

Nice little size and fantastic ability to handle wet media with no bleed through. Minimal tooth to the surface (that's good, I've had some sketchbooks with way too much tooth for my taste). Holds up to heavy use (lots of water, scrubbing, erasing, etc.). Kind of the perfect little notebook. Paper is white. Colors show up great on it.

I've used this brand for watercolour painting for the past 3 years. It takes a fair amount of water, although it will buckle with a lot of water but it's not critical to me. It handles watercolour paint very well and also acrylics and collage. However too much heavy brush strokes might scuff the paper and cause it to pill. Other than that, this is my go to brand. The size is great, I can throw it in my purse with some paint and pens and a waterbrush and I'm ready to go.

I was very excited to get this sketchbook, as I have heard great things about this brand. I wanted to test out how well it took watercolor, since it is advertised as mixed media. I didn’t use a ton of water, and the sewn binding came undone in one spot, which is very disappointing. You can see this in the picture detail. Obviously I cannot return the sketchbook as it has already been used. One other thing to note is that it doesn’t not come with an elastic band. It didn’t advertise an elastic band, but I typically like sketchbooks that have that.
