Q: Can you perforate more than one sheet of regular paper at one time with this item?

Yes you can. I perforated a few sheets of card stock without any problems. In just comes down to the depth of the blades and how hard you can push down on it.

No but you are talking about a very inexpensive and small (3" open) item

Q: will this perforate cardboard, like a cardboard box?

Probably not. Works ok with card stock.
