As long as your base is fairly sturdy this thing is great, I just add bars to the top and don't even screw them down. For example you can stick a curtain rod right in the groove and it stays just fine. I LOVE this thing

I really did not expect this set to be sturdy because of the price. You just have to be cognitive of how heavy the material is that you are placing on the bars. I would purchase again. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Very nice little bracket set, very versatile, makes multiple backgrounds using the same stands easy. Sturdy enough to hold paper rolls, or fabric backgrounds. I've used it over the Christmas portrait season to quickly change fabric backdrops by removing one end of the support rod and simply swinging the background away, revealing the next background. Very nice addition to the studio. May get another set

Being able to add a second crossbar was much needed and this item filled that need. They are made well and fit my stands however, one of the screws that holds it to the bar was missing and the vendor does not have one to ship. Thankfully, I found that an upholstery hoop screw is the same size so it worked. But...the screws that come with it do not tighten down enough to the stand tops which allow them to and spin around. I will try some tape around the tops of the stands to see if it gives the screws some grip to hold onto. Otherwise, these are great to have for the 2nd crossbar.

It’s easy to assemble once you understand the fixing process.Overall a useful thing if creating layered backdrops.
