Perfect!
I use this for removing hooks while fishing. It may or may not be medical grade, but it’s perfect for my application.

Handy tool for the price but don't expect surgical quality
I ordered 2 of these as they were on sale for $3 and this is the sort of thing that comes in handy for random stuff (soldering, clamping a fuel line closed, holding various things in place or together while you work on them, etc). The first ones I received, one was decent, the jaws weren't perfectly aligned so while some parts could hold something very thin like tissue paper tightly another part (at the curve in the jaws) had a slight gap, but still would hold most stuff fine. The other set the two halves were very loose, so much so that they would not stay locked, the locking mechanism barely touched. They sent me another 2 pairs. Both of these are simliar to the first (good) pair, jaws are very close but not perfect, but more than enough for doing what I (or most non-surgeons) would need. One of the second sets the locking mechanism is a bit out of alignment, one piece is crooked, but they still lock perfectly fine. The slight gap at the curve is not a big deal for me since it is the tip that is more important, and that closes 99.9% of the way. The tips of the jaw are not tiny/precision (like tweezers) but also not huge, they are small enough for what most would need them for. I already have a set of locking tweezers for more precise stuff, but tweezers aren't as strong and can't be clamped as tightly, so each tool has its purpose. So overall for a few dollars, well worth the price. Anything more than $5 I'd say I'd be dissatisfied with the quality though. Even though they are non-returnable, if they are defective just contact customer care via chat and they'll send a replacement or refund. Worth noting these appear to be old stock, probably why they are so cheap. They come in MABIS packaging however MABIS was purchased by Briggs (the name in the description here) a while back. Not sure if Briggs has raised the quality, or changed anything else, but most likely when they use up this old stock the price will go up anyway.

Very useful, well made tool
I use this as a needle puller when hand sewing. I have arthritis, and using tools such as this help a lot. Sometimes fabric layers are a bit too thick and I have trouble getting through all the layers. I use these to grab the needle at the back and push it through enough to release it, then grab the front of the needle to pull it through. I also cheat a bit with a small cake of beeswax. I rub the needle and thread on the wax, then sew. Between those two, plus a metal thimble to push from behind, I get the stitching done. Just as a side note, I only do this at the very end of a project when there is a small area to be sewn. It's waaaay to much trouble otherwise. 😉 The best example I can give is a denim wallet I made. I had it all put together: the outside, liner, and zipper. There was a small hole to turn it right-side out, then stitch it closed. It was 4 layers of thick denim, and had to be hand-sewn. This tool made it much faster and less painful than I was expecting. So, 5 stars for you, along with my gratitude.

These are so useful. I have been amazed at the number of difficult repair jobs where these clamps have made the job possible.

These were purchased to help put my dogs hair up as done by her groomer. They’re perfect and she knows the drill so easy to put the elastics in.

Really handy for holding wire ends together for soldering. They lock in and hold well. You could likely also use these as heat sink scissors too.
