works in combo with adhesive remover
Skin Glu used after adhesive remover that smells like kerosene from McKesson has MOSTLY solved my adhesion issue. My overlay comes off a few days early, and it keeps my Dexcom attached to the final day.

Type 1 diabetes issues
My son has type one diabetes. He wears a Dexcom and an insulin pump. When he takes off the insulin to refill it with insulin, he takes off the patch that goes into his stomach. We could never get the glue off no matter what we tried. Alcohol did not work. We have no problem getting glue off with this amazing product.

Just not sticky
I'd been having issues with my CGM staying attached recently and polled my social media for recommendations. 3 solutions bubbled to the top of the list: Mastisol, SkinTac, and Skin Glu. Now, before we get started I'll just say I know to not apply the adhesive, cgm, and patch just after a shower. I know to wash my application area (rear of my upper arm in these cases) thoroughly. I know to prep the area with an alcohol wipe and let it dry. I know not to immediately take a shower after applying them and I know to avoid sweat and dirt for at least the first few hours after application. Of the three main recommendations I received, the Skin Glu has been the worst solution. It just doesn't stick. The issue appears to be consistency and water. Two of the first three wipes I tried left no tacky residue whatsoever and the patch/CGM became detached after my first shower. It was almost like the adhesive had never been applied to the wipe at all. The third one DID leave a tacky residue but still my Skin Grip patch on top of my CGM peeled up on the third day instead of the next morning like it did with the first 2 attempts, let alone lasting the 2 weeks needed for my CGM. Water seems to really do a number on the adhesive which is great if you never plan on showering but for a majority of us, a water soluble adhesive is just not going to work. By comparison Skin Tac is incredible if somewhat messy. The adhesive is hard to remove from areas you didn't intend it to be and have found my arm sticking to my bed sheets in the morning or adhesive on my fingers several times. My number 1 solution has been Mastisol though, mostly because it's as effective as Skin Tac with an easy to apply precision bottle that I use somewhat like a roll-on.

Absolutely worth a few extra seconds.
Perfect solution to keep my Dxcom7 adhesive patch in place for 10 days bathing ,sleeping, changing clothes. Apply just before inserting sensor.

Helped CGM Adhesion, but…
Pro: Did a great job keeping my Dexcom 6 in place for the full 10 days, even with profuse sweating in the gym and the 100 degree S. TX weather. Prior to this product the glue on my Dexcoms would fail with even a little sweat. Con: Did not do a great job keeping acting as a skin barrier and keeping my skin from getting the Dexcom rash. Felt like it maybe took a couple of more days to start itching than before, but once I took the sensor off at 10 days, the rash was just as bad as it was previously. This was on my upper abdominal area, will try upper arm at some point.

Very good cleaning and removal patches. Will get again and again.

Creates a perfect, tacky barrier that ensures my sensor stay stuck for the full wear time, even though heavy workouts. Plus, being hypoallergenic and latex-free, they don't irritate my skin at all.

I got these for my Dad to help put a clear patch over his Diabetes sensor. This helps to clean the area around the sensor and makes it a little tacky so the other clear patch sticks better. There has been no evidence of skin irritations either. You get loads of these all packaged individually - this will last him a full year! It works well and really easy to use.
