Does not work. Wouldn't program..
Tried 3 times using the Ford manual. It would not program. The manual says that a new remote is self programmable with 2 working originals, which I have. The locksmith said if it won't program using the Ford procedure then return it. Also, I signed into the Keyless2Go website to look at their programing procedures and they tried to trick me into signing up for $39.95 per month to use their site. I don't feel safe giving this company my personal information and full credit card information to get a programing procedure that won't work anyway. I'm returning the remote and will get one from the locksmith that will work, and is cheaper that the Ford dealership.

2018 Ford Mustang Instructions that work
After many failed attempts to get this Intelligent key to program in my 2018 Mustang, after trying many different ways, the following procedure finally did the trick:1. Sitting in driver seat, all doors closed, with two programmed intelligent keys and unprogrammed intelligent key inside vehicle with the keys removed from all remote fobs.2. Remove the rubber covering from the cupholder. Place the first programmed Intelligent key in the slot at the bottom of the cupholder with buttons facing towards back of vehicle, narrow side down.3. Press and hold the ignition switch button until the dinging stops.4. Release ignition switch button, then press and release ignition switch button to turn off ignition.5. Remove the first programmed Intelligent key from the slot.6. Within 10 seconds, place a second programmed Intelligent key in the slot with buttons facing towards the back of vehicle, narrow side down.7. Press and hold the ignition switch button until the dinging stops.8. Release ignition switch button, then press and release ignition switch button to turn off ignition.9. Remove the second programmed Intelligent key from slot.10. Place the unprogrammed Intelligent key in slot with buttons facing towards back of vehicle, narrow side down.11. Press and hold the ignition switch button until the cluster goes through its routine (5-10 seconds).Programming is now complete. Verify the remote operates your doors and your vehicle starts with the new intelligent key.

Did not program
I bought this to take it to a locksmith to program. The lady tried it and it didn’t work. The code inside in the key area was the same as my current key fob that does work. I endedUp buying one from the locksmith who then programmed it

Added the key in 4 minutes!
Was concerned the key fob would not receive the programming, however it took on the first try on my 2018 Ford Explorer. Make sure you have TWO keys as admin keys (not MyKey) before you attempt to add the new key. Once complete, you should have three admin keys with the capability of adding one more, for a max total of four. Yes, the newly added key fob has a blank physical key as I need to have a locksmith cut it.

Be careful before you buy!
Sadly the key did not have the right chip to program with my car. But it came to me in the Mail very fast!

One Didn’t work, but customer service was great!
I purchased two of these in November 2021. One programmed just fine and one did not. My locksmith said the circuit board was different in the one that didn’t work so I had to return it. I was outside the return/refund window, but the seller still allowed me to ship it back and issued a refund in March 2022 with no issues.
