Great multi-purpose functionality
Very happy with this monitor. Size, colors, brightness, and clarity are excellent for the price. It works well switching between VGA for my work computer, and with HDMI using my personal 13 laptop. The 27 inch size is perfect for seeing videos, pictures, or for that extra screen space when opening up multiple documents and windows.

Very NIce picture screen for a 27 inch. Typical Dell Quality
Was looking for a reasonably priced large monitor. The 32 inch models are not quite within my price range at this time. I went with this model and quite happy. I have an HP 27 inch and really seem very similar. So far so good. Hope it stays that way. I would recommend but you have a lot to choose from in the large screen market.

Good low end 27 inch monitor
This monitor seems to do it's job just fine. No dead pixels so far on the four I've purchased, three from here and one from a local retailer. Light bleed and flash-lighting is minimal but if you're looking for something perfect then this is not the one for you. You will have spend far more $$$. I game on this monitor but it is NOT a gaming monitor. This is a product meant for business use. It gets the job done, always turns on and works well. Color is not 100% consistent from monitor to monitor so will need some adjustment.

Great monitor, great quality, wish I had two of them!
The monitor is large enough to split screen and not compromise either half, the quality of the picture is phenomenal, the settings give a lot of flexibility for whatever you're viewing needs might be, and the customer service getting this monitor was excellent. there was a mix-up with the HD cables that were sent, and they resolved it right away. Thank you!!

Decent if you want flicker free IPS with 75Hz and AMD FreeSync.
I bought the Dell SE2717H because it's one of the newer generation monitor that use direct current to power the LED to prevent flickering, which is better for your eyes for prolonged usage. They advertised the ComfortView mode which also filter certain harmful bluelight, but I "think" it's a filtering, not a shift, which more expensive monitors have, so the colors look very bad with it. Fortunately, I have a colorimeter and use the program "DispcalGUI" to correct the color on that mode. Now I have the benefit of filtering some harmful blue light and good colors. If you don't have a colorimeter, you can use 'warm' mode which looks better, or use "f.lux". It also have the benefit of being 75Hz for 1080p, which help further and make gaming a lot smoother. Overall, nothing special in term of color reproduction, it is only a 6bit monitor. The port choices are also poor, limiting you to VGA and HDMI only. I think AOC has better colors and contrast, but the reason I bought this is because of flicker free and 1080p @ 75Hz while still IPS.

Love this the only complaint I have is that every so often the screen goes black for a second. Don't know if this is normal or what. Other that that the picture is wonderful . I am very satisfied and would recommend this .

Weird screen problems after less than 2 months of use
Don't buy this. Spend $100 more and buy a P series. The monitor that I bought in July worked great until a week ago, when it started having weird scan issues after booting the pc. The screen looks normal for a second after a reboot, but then from bottom to top you can see a horizontal line move up the screen, making all of the colors washed out and too light to see. The only solution is to reboot over and over until it disappears. I've tried other monitors with this pc so it's the monitor. Of course I can't return it now. And of course the service window has expired. I'm really surprised bc I've owned plenty of Dell monitors and they are usually well made. I guess you get what you pay for. I'm going to replace it with an Asus, LG or Samsung monitor. Zero stars.

Great Monitor!!! I always wanted to get large size monitor and this guy is really cool. Color vibrations are awesome, clarity is superb. If you need ultra clarity monitor, go for pro then but for this budget this monitor is perfect. one thing i found is provided driver is not compatible with my laptop. I had to uninstall my driver to correct it. Rest is good.

I’m a photographer and gamer and this monitor was made specially for gaming. After owning a Dell Ultrasharp for a long time when I first looked at an HDR panel, I thought why is everything so “New” and “Polished”, even a dirty wall on Uncharted looks like a hollywood set made by a billionaire’s kid. I saw OLED, Premium HDRs to HDR capable (really?!). I spent almost an hour caliberating this monitor, reading and viewing experts to novices, sometimes doing what they do not recommend! I’m glad to say after that and only after that hour, I’m glad I saved a lot of money. The refresh is a minimum 75 hz and not 60 hz as shown on screen and the brightness is pretty darn good. The viewing angles pretty good and after tweaking, the color is excellent. This is not 4K, so it’s old technology but that’s all my PS4 can handle. I’m happy. I’ll invest my money on newer games and buy a cheap and large 4k OLED when PS5 comes.
