I bought Douxo S3 Seb Shampoo for my bulldog, who had developed a persistent case of oily seborrhea that made him smell like a forgotten gym sock and look like he’d been dipped in fryer grease. We’d tried everything—medicated wipes, antifungal sprays, even vet-prescribed shampoos that smelled like chemical warfare. Nothing worked for more than a day. Then came Douxo. The first thing I noticed was the texture: thick, creamy, and easy to lather. It didn’t run off his coat like water on wax. I massaged it in and let it sit for the recommended 10 minutes, which he tolerated surprisingly well thanks to the mild scent—clean, almost herbal, and not remotely medicinal. After rinsing, his coat felt softer, less greasy, and the usual sour odor was gone. Not masked—gone. By the third wash, the transformation was undeniable. His skin wasn’t flaking, his fur had a matte finish instead of a slick sheen, and he stopped scratching like he was auditioning for a flea circus. Even the vet was impressed. The shampoo didn’t just clean—it recalibrated his skin. The Ophytrium ingredient seems to work like a skin whisperer, calming inflammation and restoring balance without stripping natural oils. I’ve since used it on my other dog, a golden retriever with seasonal dandruff, and it worked just as well. The bottle lasts longer than expected, and the formula rinses clean without leaving residue. It’s become a staple in our grooming routine, and I now recommend it to every pet owner I meet at the dog park.

My dog has Seborrhea and my veterinarian recommended this shampoo. It has made such a difference In his skin and coat! Before using this product, I was bathing him every 5-7 days in Dawn dish detergent to remove the oil and odor from his skin. Now, I can go 2 weeks between baths, and his coat is no longer oily. His groomer noticed the difference and asked what changed. I also use the Douro S3 Seb foam mousse occasionally to extend the time in between baths. Great products!

This shampoo hasn’t “fixed” my Golden’s stinky, oily, itchy, flaky coat, but it has helped SO much! First of all, it’s so gentle and soothing that I can use it more often than normal shampoo to take care of his stink without making the itch and flakiness worse, which is a win on its own. But a major plus is that I really think it has helped with improving the overall health of his skin and coat. He’s so much less itchy after a bath now than before (typically it’s the opposite) and the scent of the shampoo really takes away that stinky dog smell. He still gets stinky and oily quickly, especially compared to other dogs that don’t have this problem (seriously, you can smell him after just 5-6 days), but it’s better than what it was (the freshly bathed, clean dog smell used to only last 3 days tops before, so any extension is a win). Also, no more hot spots since starting this shampoo! To clarify, he never had a huge issue with hot spots like some dogs do. At its worst, we would find one or two a month just starting, but they never got really inflamed like I know some dogs’ do, so if your dog really struggles maybe take that with a grain of salt. This product is so gentle and soothing though, I know it won’t make skin irritations worse. We wet his fur throughly and work this shampoo in really well, starting with the areas that get the most oily, flaky, and itchy. We do avoid the face with this, never really going past the ears. Then we let it set for the entire 10 minutes. We like to give him a lick mat while he waits. Then we rinse, leaving his problem areas for last. We can give him a bath every two weeks with this shampoo (we never would have done more than every 3 wks with a normal shampoo, even though with the smell, he could use a bath every week).

Worked great on dry irrigated skin

I ordered this for my shorkie, I hadn’t noticed because I don’t pet his tail and feet but he had yellow scaley flakes so bad that his tail felt and sorta looked like Indian corn! (After I trimmed it anyways because I didn’t know what was going on) One wash with this stuff, left it on 7 or 8 mins and as I was drying him the flakes were just MELTING off, they were soft and squishy! I got a little comb and gently combed through and so much came off after the first wash. As he dried I noticed there’s still a few hard spots so I’ll do it again in a couple weeks but wow am I impressed! There’s no stinky smell with it, I washed his head first with his regular shampoo and then washed his body with this product.

I don’t know if it’s helping my dog. Our vet said to start using it when we took our dog to the vet for dry skin and hair loss. He still has dry skin and hair loss but he smells better, so he’s cleaner.

I’ve tried a bunch of different medicated shampoos for my dog because he is prone to skin infections. This shampoo is very thick so you get more fur coverage per pump. The pump dispenser is a useful design too. This has lasted much longer than other medicated shampoos that sometimes only last a couple baths because it’s too thin. This one also does not have a gross medicated smell and has been very brightening for my Great Pyrenees’ fur. It also doesn’t have an overwhelming scent it’s just neutral. Great value and size as well as effective for my sensitive skinned guy!
