Well worth the cost.
Fantastic product! Heavy-duty and sturdy. Don't let the reviews stating this is tough to set-up turn you off. If you have a sun filter, try setting this during the day. So much easier when you can see the knobs. Also, look to U Toob for the "paper over the aperture" option. It works amazingly! Great buy!

A very nice mount, but showing its age
So first, the bad. This product is several years old. Celestron makes the generic claim "Works with [...] all the latest devices from Samsung, Google, and Apple." My iPhone 13 Pro Max is really pushing the limit on the width of the horizontal phone clamp. It's come out of the track several times. It's easy to put back in ... but if the phone were any wider, I doubt it would fit. The mount itself feels really good. It's one piece, pretty sturdy, holds the phone well, and clamps tightly onto the eyepiece. The newer iPhones have three cameras and switch between them automatically, so you'll want to put the phone in the mount first and get the camera lined up with the hole. If you attach it to the telescope first, the view will be very dark and the phone will constantly switch cameras preventing you from aligning against the eyepiece. You will almost definitely want a camera app that provides better control. The bluetooth shutter control is nice, helps prevent jitter when taking pictures. I attached it to the mount with two thin hair ties, so it's close enough to not get lost, but far enough to use without bumping the mount. All in all, I love it -- until I get my next phone.

Don't buy any other brand other than this Celestron phone mount.
If you are getting into digiscoping with spotting scopes, monoculars, or astronomical telescopes, this is the ONLY phone addapter you should buy! The other ones on the market are just not quite good enough. Also, the all metal ones will damage your 1,000 Leopold spotting scope when you clamp down too tightly. You can't avoid this with some units, and it was only after using it several times that I noticed the scratches visible when I looked between the rubber and the cilinder at the eye piece.

Bendy plastic, you will need to shim it to correct for parallax errors.
Bluetooth shutter arrived with fully dead battery CR2032,... changed it and quickly discovered likely reason,.. it has no power OFF button, and to remove battery you must carry around a fine point Philips screwdriver,.. annoying. Battery should not be preinstalled, the screw is a captive button, so not easy to remove of the equation for fast long term storage with battery removed. Aligns "perfectly" as package states is a bit overreaching, it really depends on what you are expecting... this is made of plastic extrusions or mold casted you can see the bends under weight/loading at various of the dovetailed sliding sections. It provides no adjustment for tilt nor nod,.. which happens to be needed due to non stiff enough plastic material, so you get some parallax angle error. (Shimming sort of solves, but is not fast nor practical, as the amount of flex varies as you "zoom in/out") Is it a fair buy at the price point?.. I would say it is a great buy at 35-40usd. Probably my view is skewed as I happen to have on site machinist capabilities/materials and tools, so I can see the manufacturing pitfalls/shortcommings more than average user would care. Decided to buy vs make my own due to cost-time balance.. and it does come with the bluetooth remote shutter,.. I can't make that on the lathe/mill,.. Does it hold the phone steady? Yes, much more than bare hands. So,.. if 60 bucks don't hurt your wallet at all,.. then it is an excelent buy. What about vs the 20 usd designs with no 3rd axis? Well if your application doesn't need frequent zoom in out for focus change,.. just get a cheaper one and shim the phone on the mount, save 40usd. A pitfall on all these telescope/microscope items is to not provide sturdy casings for storage/care with the item itself,.. people buy tools of this nature and expect to later transport them in airplanes and for them to be part of the inheritance one leaves behind, carboard boxes are cheap and convey a message of cheap quality contents.

Very ease to use!
I just bought this to allow me to take photos through my small Celestron telescope. Previously, I had been trying to put my iPhone straight to the eyepiece with variable results (and scratching the eyepiece). The instructions are clear and easy to follow. I attached it to the eyepiece and then attached my phone, which was simple to do. Adjusting in the X,Y,Z planes was likewise simple to undertake. After literally a couple of minutes up came the moon on my iPhone! I bought the version with the remote photo capture, and true to its promise it helped eliminate camera shake which had been a serious problem for me. I could take videos and photos all without touching the telescope or the camera. My only (small) complaint was that it was a little difficult to place my iPhone in the cradle, as the extension that is moved out to accommodate different sized phones was tight. Overall, the unit worked extremely well and exceeded my expectations. I would recommend spending a little more and getting the remote; you won’t regret it.

Best phone adapter for Telescope
Easy to use, versatile with different phones. The build is tough and easy to secure to any eye piece i own. I did a few live streaming on the moon and this is a Mmust for stargazing.

Does not work for binoculars
The z axis is a bit loose and wobbles, but the adjustment knobs give you a lot of control of positioning. The problem is that the clamp is too wide to work with binoculars, you can't get the lense close enough in. It would probably be good with a telescope or microscope.

I Had been looking at those new smart camera telescopes on market , Dwarf 2 and the pricier proper Apo lensed ones, But this Has turned my portable 60mm into a remote viewed decvice via streaming inside a cosy car out up a hill in winter etc , The ability to use 3 axis with the holder and the scope is awsome Celestron has done it again for those who want to get into astronomy but always thought it was expensive this is deffo an alternative for those who want to get into astrophotography
