Dyson V6 Baby + Child Handheld Vacuum - Cordless

It's sad to say, but I'm in love with a vacuum. As I've gotten older, I went from jumping around the house because I got Lego's and Supersoakers to jumping around the house when I get a new appliance or awesome gadget like this. I have a dog that sheds like crazy and no matter what I do, his hair gets everywhere. When I was reading reviews for handheld vacuums, someone said "this Dyson sucks up dirt and hair you didn't even realize was there" and I can't even tell you how true that is. It's incredible for any mess that happens.A couple of things that I want to specifically highlight:-I had a tough time at first trying to figure out the differences between the couple of "V6" models they have. Basically I found out, it really only differs in terms of what attachments and accessories come with it. So you can get this Car and Boat one, and it comes with all the accessories that would come in the "accessories package you can buy separately" and a few others that don't come in that. So after looking into it, it absolutely makes sense to get this because it's cheaper and comes with 2 extra accessories.-I was concerned about the 20 minute run time. I haven't come into a situation where it wasn't enough. Don't get this if you plan on trying to use it for the entire house at once. I'd get a regular vacuum that plugs in. But for a solid clean up of hair, dirt, dust, etc. from basically anything from your house to your car or boat, this thing does the job and it does it extremely well.-I had a cheaper Black n Decker that I always thought was a good handheld. Well you get what you pay for. That wasn't picking up even half of what this thing picks up.-It's SO easy to use. The accessories clip or attach very quickly and easily and the little button that lets the bottom fall out so you can drop all you sucked up right in the trash can is amazing. It's a very solid and well thought out "machine".-240 for a handheld vacuum with all accessories included...was it worth it...yes, every cent worth.

We ordered the DC58 as a replacement for the previous model dyson handheld vacuum which we lost when our house was flooded last year. We like how convenient it was to have the smaller dyson to suck up kitty litter and smaller messes with out the need to drag out the big dyson. This new verson of the hand held is even better.Suction: 5 stars on Max, 3.5 stars regularAs mentioned I am not using this to clean my entire house. It is used for small messes and to clean up under the table after meal times with my 1 year old son. For this purpose it is a very very good vacuum. The suction on Max is outstanding sucking up every last bit of dirt. On the regular setting the suction is serviceable (better then any other handhelds I have used) but not worth the price by itself. We keep this charged all the time so we only use it on Max.Battery: 4 starsI have never killed the battery while cleaning. The box says 6 min on max which is not very much but for the power it has you could see why it gets drained that fast. If you are doing any large clean ups with this you might be disappointed.Accessories: 2.5 starsThis version of dyson's handheld vacuum is bare bones and for the price you might be expecting more. I am very disappointing that it did not even come with a wall charger that you can hang it on. (I purchased directly from Dyson for $11). I would have like to see more but with any Dyson you are buying the name.Overall: 5 starsWhile I wish there was more in the box we got what we expected from this vacuum and I would happily buy it again.

It is hard to find anything new to write about a product that already has over 300 reviews. I needed two hand vacs and bought the Dust Buster first. I did not like the fact that the Dust Buster is charged by sitting on a flimsy and wobbly base instead of having the power cord plugged into the vac. I did not want a second Dust Buster. Because I own a couple of regular Dyson vacs I decided to take out a second mortgage and buy this V6.When it arrived I read what is one of the best User Manuals I have ever seen, It is about 8" x 12" with the first portion clearly providing assembly instructions in nice big displays identified with an easily legible font size. The latter part of the manual, where the various uses of the vac are explained, is smaller font size but overall this manual is a winner.The vac was partially assembled upon arrival so gave it a brief trial just to make sure it was operable. I then plugged in the power cable and gave it a full charge. After the charge I gave it a thorough try out using various accessories which included the ones provided with the purchase and some that I bought separately as a kit. The accessories are very easy to attach and remove. Everything I tried works well and it even picked up a few items that the Dust Buster had left behind. All in all this is a very fine hand vac.
