BAMF Complete Adjustable Compression Tool Coax RG6 RG59 RG11 F81 RCA - desertcart.com Review: This tool is a great deal - I ordered this compression tool after I returned a Klein vertical compression tool that arrived without the adaptor for type F connectors. Very happy with this BAMF compression tool that will work with type F, BNC, and RCA connectors. It looks like the BNC adaptor should work on right-angle connectors as well, but I haven't tried this yet. Also this tool is about half the price of the Klein tool. I used the BAMF tool this weekend to install about 16 type F connectors on RG6 quad shield cable. The first connector was so difficult to compress that I was ready to return this tool also. However after adjusting the thumb wheel so that the handles start out in a slightly more closed position when the connector is in the tool and ready for squeezing, all of the other connectors compressed easily. Tool seems to be well made from quality materials. Review: well made tool, works decent. - Received this tool today. I normally work with RJ45 connectors and Cat6 cable on the job. no call for coax except at home. I purchased the 'frequently bought together' PPC Belden EX6PLUS RG-6 Snap & Seal Outdoor Compression Connectors with the tool. I used the coax stripper shown in the pics, works well to remove the necessary insulation and core. one thing to note, is after inserting the coax into the connector, work the connector back and forth until you see the white coax core flush at the base of the threaded side, see pic. one other item I discovered was these connectors art slightly to long to just drop in to the tool, so to compensate, you can rotate the selector at the end of the tool a little off center, put the connector onto the F type barrel side first, then move slightly over to drop into the rotated end piece, then rotate back to center. I spun the adjustment wheel all the way in to bring the handle down somewhat and make it easier to operate the tool. now squeeze down on the handle and watch the compression zone of the connector, noted in pic with red lines, when this zone is fully compressed, or gone, stop squeezing, and remove the connector. done. creates a solid coax terminated end. currently watching my TV over it now. :-)

Great tool...great price!
So far, so good! I'm a residential user that bought this tool to help with some remodeling and other TV/internet projects. I love this thing! I used the Perfect Vision 019006 Universal Ridgeloc RG-6 Compression F-Connectors with it and all is great. The connections are clean, easy, and solidly in place. The tool itself is heavy duty, well made, and customer service is top notch. Mine shipped without instructions and BAMF immediately got some to me upon request. It was my first time with compression fittings so I watched a little Youtube and had at it without issue.

Perfect for Coax F Connector Compression
The tool works very well once it is adjusted to your specific needs. I'd give the tool 5 stars if it came with instructions. It is a multi-tool for several different connectors so there are several parts on it that can be adjusted depending on the connector you need to install. It is nice because all the parts are combined into the rotating head or the 3-way block, so there are not multiple parts to keep track of (lose!!), the parts are always on the tool. The 3-way block is labeled with the connector type, so it is easy to figure out which one to use. I couldn't find a label on the rotating head, so I had to guess which one to use based on the fit of the connector. I also found it was very hard to compress the first-time I tried, but after playing around with the thumb-screw adjustment, I found a setting where it was much easier to compress.

Solidly made, easy to use great tool
Needed to rewire part of my cable from RG59 to RG6 because from one of my TV ESPN and some other channels cannot be shown even with a signal amplifier. I am not an engineer at all and also it is my first time to do this kind of work. Bought this tool from Amazon. When this one arrived, feels heavy with its size. Means it is very solidly made with metals. Just as some of the reviews addressed, this tool arrived without a manual. But I wanted to get started any way. Tried to put one F connector onto the RG6 cable. There are 3 choices on the end for different connectors. The first one is apparently too large for RG6 F connectors. The second one, the F connector did not go straight so I stopped pressing. Switched to the third choice, which worked perfectly. Used that settings for all other F connector and finished all of my work about 1 hour after this tool has arrived. Before I put it into my toolbox, I realized on the other side, there are 3 choices too, the inside one is for F connector and the outside one is for RCA. Apparently, I used RCA setting on the other end pressed all of my F connectors and they all worked perfectly. From my whole work, I did not break any F connectors. From the only one time use, I think this one works perfectly. It is very solidly made and easy to use. If I have any use of it in the future, I will update my review. And also the manual came a couple of days later via Email but I did not bother to open it any more.

Very nice tool
This seems like a very good tool. I got it to do occasional terminations on my home TV/Internet cabling. I am a retired network engineer and have made coax terminations back in olden times when everyone used crimp connectors. My house has a lot of built-in older RG-59 cabling with these crimped terminations, and I plan to eventually convert them compression fittings over time. I bought PPC compression fittings in both RG-6 and RG-59 types, and they both work fine with this tool. The main reason I picked this tool is because it's adjustable in the length of fitting it will work with. All the terminations I have made with it have come out perfect.

Loose Fitting Adjustable Compression Head
The adjustable head will separate from the tool and cannot be replaced. It is a great tool if you keep it in a sealed bag where it will not disassemble and get lost while carrying. If it does... they do not offer a replacement head. Not the greatest business model for a well-built tool. I do not use this tool very often and when I needed it the plunger head was missing rendering the tool useless.
