If you want an elegant-looking frame -- that doubles as both classic and modern -- this is it. I initially ordered a set of smaller (3 x 5) frames from amazon exactly like this one. I was so impressed with those -- as were the recipients of the photos for which I used them -- that I ordered this one for an 8 x 10 photo that needed a frame. The frame is very sturdy; the metal is sleek-looking and has a nice coating on it; the "glass" is real glass, not plexiglass that scratches or gets discolored; and the back of the frame is velvet covered and allows for the frame to either stand on a table-top/shelf/dresser or to be hung on a wall. The price was good for the high quality of this frame, and it arrived very well packaged.

The double 5X7 frame was packed nicely and in good shape. I did have some trouble getting the backing into the frame once I put my pictures into it. It fit very tightly. My pictures look good in it and I'm happy with my purchase.

I thought I was getting a black frame. This is sort of mirror shiny metal black, not your typical black. If you're looking for something modern and shiny you might like this, but It looks out of place in my house. It was cheap so I took the chance. It will do for now until I can get out and see what I'm buying.
