Sand before use
These do a good job of protecting the fretboard when polishing the frets. However, as others have stated, sand or file the sharp edges BEFORE you use them as they are just stamped out thin metal. They work good but will scratch the fretboard if not smoothed down.

A must
Great for cleaning guitar fretboard and not scratching the fretboard

Time saver
These work great and save a bunch of time not having to tape off a fingerboard.

An economical choice, needing finishing before use; very sharp.
This are perfectly sized for a medium jumbo fret, sufficiently covering immediately adjacent fret board wood surfaces. However, these are stamped from sheet steel and are not "finished", leaving a VERY sharp back edge to all the pieces, sufficient to cut the user if not aware AND careful. I would advise these items, while an affordable set for spot dressing, are not "ready to use" and ought to see some fine grit sandpaper to soften those manufacturing edges. I'd be afraid of scratching my fret board with the items I bought to prevent scratching my fret board before I knock down the edges. One might consider using them upside down, but that puts the very sharp edge facing the user. You get what you pay for. Very usable after some additional work.

Trash
First, they are so sharp that you would need to sand them before using them on your fretboard. They would most definitely scratch. Second, what are you going to do when you get to the frets that are over the body? You can't use these. That's why they make the ones with the handles from Music Nomad. Or use painters tape.
