Do you have a desire to share the best news ever with people who are lost? Do you want to see your loved ones come to faith in Christ and experience abundant life and have eternal life? The Author will teach you a skill that is HIGHLY effective at getting people to pause and think about bigger important issues that matter to God. There are many books about that present facts and evidence about God's existence, Creation, Is the Bible reliable, and of course Jesus. You don't need to know all the evidence. You do need to have good Character, some knowledge, and skill. This book is about skill. The author gives HIGHLY practical tips to share God's principals and or the Gospel and takes the burden off you having to prove it or win an argument. The author also explains that it's biblical, necessary, and important to be able to "argue" without getting mad or raising your voice. Jesus did it. Paul and Peter did it. Others have done it. He shows you the right way to go about it. All you are looking to do is engage people with love, ask effective questions to help guide the conversation, and get them to think or as the author puts it well, "put a stone in their shoe." The author also explains that a church that allows for no argument or any difference of opinion, is a shallow and weak church with a forced "unity" that really isn't healthy. Good leadership is able to encourage people to express their opinions so a healthy and sometimes vigorous discussion can take place, just like in the Bible, that leads to better clarity, holiness, and a stronger unity. If Moses were alive today in the US, he would not say "Let me people go!" but instead he would direct his attention to the Church and say "Let my people THINK!" This book will help you get people thinking about what matters to God. This book will show you how critical it is to be a good "Gardener for Jesus." We are commanded to share the Gospel and have a defense for the Gospel with gentleness and respect. If you truly believe there is a hell where lost souls spend eternity apart from the most loving sovereign Being, then your heart breaks for them and you are compelled to share the best news ever. This book will open your eyes to how easy it is. I've shared my faith quite often, and all to often have chickened out, and found this book to be incredibly helpful and compelling. It's well written and a quick read. Read it again and again. It's that good.

This book teaches you how to have good conversations about the Bible, God, and Jesus. Was helpful for me as a college student.

It's great for growing in dialogue with non-christians and Christians alike if you feel it's hard for people to understand you or you want to have a better ability to discuss your faith

Excellent treatment of the topic by a humble and knowledgeable teacher/gardener (inside joke.) Koukl puts things into clear and reasonable context, and (IMHO) he makes the "goals" more attainable and less stressful. He grounds the message in a single "stone." I especially appreciate the first tactic, which involves asking questions, working to understand the person with whom you are communicating. There are more in-depth reviews than mine; I strongly recommend you read them. I can add that this text is working well with the highschool students in my class. I thank God for Koukl and author-teachers like him. 😊
