Almost everything you need in a compact camera for travel, hobbyist and content creation
Been using the Sony ZV-E10 for the past 6 months. Taken it abroad for travel, shot a few YouTube videos. This camera has almost everything you need to get started with videography, photography and content creation. If you are looking for a small, affordable, compact camera, with interchangeable lenses, then this is it. Especially if you are coming from a RX100 series and wanted a bit more from the RX100. I have the Sigma 18-50mm F2.8 lens and it takes great photos and videos. Not as small and pocketable than the RX100, but it has its pros. Good points * Touch focus - It’s not a touch screen for accessing the menu, but you can touch the screen for focusing on your subject, which is very convenient. * No recording limits in 4k or HD - You can record till either the battery dies, the sd card fills up or maybe when it overheats, which I’ve yet to experience. * Interchangeable lens. * In-built mic. Don’t like the in-built mic? Well, it has a mic jack. * Small, compact, and light. * Flip out screen - Useful for self vlogs, portraits, and various shots. Things to be aware of * No optical view finder - This may be a deal breaker for some. I find the optical view finder useful when taking photos in sunny bright conditions. * Screen under bright conditions - Under really sunny bright weather, the screen is very difficult to see, and a view finder in this instance would have benefited. * No inbuilt ND filter - Not the end of the world. * Does not have a dial to quickly switch between photo, video, and S&Q modes. You have to press the single button to toggle through. I prefer a dial. * Doesn’t have the S-Cinetone picture profiles that you will find in the A6700, ZV-E1. Not a deal breaker. BUT with a quick google search, you can find settings to get you close enough. * Image stabilisation - for video, make sure you have the steady shot enabled for hand held shots, otherwise the video is very shaky. With all that said. I still like the Sony ZV-E10. It’s an affordable compact interchangeable camera with a tonne of features. Paired with a quality lens, you can take amazing videos and photos. I think its the baby sibling to the A6600, A6700 series which has a higher price point.

Great value and very high quality
Awesome picture quality and compact. This is perfect for content creation and photography but I would recommend buying more batteries as they don't last very long. fantastic value for money.

Wonderful camera and very compact, and lightweight
The Sony Alpha ZV-E10 is a wonderful camera and beginner-friendly enough overall, I bought mine just before Christmas. There may be many settings you won't use for a while until you learn them, but this camera gives you the opportunity to do just that (more than 6 months later, I'm still learning). It is perfect for pictures and vlogging alike, and you can fairly easily navigate the basic settings. I'd recommend looking more into this camera as there are just so many features, and to also make sure you buy enough storage beforehand, and perhaps extra battery packs too. One thing I personally didn't realise is that I bought the option without a lens and so had to wait a bit longer before using it (I got the basic Sony 16-50mm mount in the end). This is a note to other beginners who might miss that or that not all cameras come with a lens.

A great entry level system
I purchased this to run alongside my A7Rii and it makes a good companion for video as it's quite handy when you want something small and lightweight so makes a nice system for day trips out and about. It doesn't feel anywhere near as sturdy or rugged as the A7Rii, and although it's not a professional level camera, I would have thought Sony would have made it a little more robust as it does feel somewhat fragile. If you're already a Sony shooter you'll be able to quickly set things up and get your custom shortcuts set up, although just be aware you don't have anywhere near the level of customisation as with the pro lines, but i don't think the target audience will be too fussed by that. Overall it makes a good step into the Sony ecosystem as you'll be able to use the same lenses on the full frame systems so I would buy lenses for the FE mount so if you upgrade later you'll have a full frame lens that won't be cropped by having to use Super 35mm mode. *IMPORTANT* Do remember, this camera has a 1.5x crop factor so before buying a lens in the focal length you want, take the focal length of your chosen lens and times it by 1.5, so if you want a 50mm focal length, you'll need to buy a 35mm lens which will give you a focal length of 52mm (35 x 1.5=52.5). Also note that there is no IBIS so if recording video, it will use software stabilisation which will further crop into the video image, unless you turn it off. Overall it's easy to use, give nice photo and video quality and works well along side my A7Rii.

I love it
I got this specifically to make videos using the Product Showcase mode. And that mode works just great - it's like magic. I'm pretty impressed with just how good the video quality is, as well as the ease of use. I don't really use it for photographs so I can't comment on that, but for video it's great - I often use it in preference to my Sony A7iV because it's so much easier, especially for product videos. Autofocus is fast, image quality is great and there's a ton of options so you're not stuck on auto. You can set this pretty much anyway you like. The flippy screen is something you'll love or hate - I love it. When you face it to yourself, if you're vlogging, it's easy to see when you're recording with the red frame around the whole screen. Very reassuring. It's pretty lightweight too, so you don't need a super heavy tripod for this. All in all, I think it's great.

Such a great small camera
I did lots of research before buying this. It is a superb kit and great for vlogging, using it as a webcam and taking quality photos. If you are going to buy this, please note there are additional costs to factor in - quality len(s), SD cards, batteries, tripod, microphone, and light. So treat it as an investment. The only things I didn't like were the lack of a touchscreen like seen on the A6700 and the no hardware/software updates from Sony. This means you don't have the most up to date Sony menu system which is a shame, Hopefully they will address this in the Sony ZV-E10 mark II and bring down some of the features the more expensive cameras like A6700 and ZV-E1 have got.
