6-Pin to Cut-End Connector

Took less than 5 minutes to install the cut end adapter onto the Hue lightstrip and get it working. I think you can avoid an unreliable connection by making sure the raised part of the adapter connections are aligned properly with the lightstrip contacts. I did it by cutting the lightstrip to the left of the scissors line, as shown in the photo. I also left the backing tape on the lightstrip to increase the contact pressure when the adapter is clamped down. There should be no need to bend any pins or tweak the cable.

If you are looking to install Philips Hue strip lighting, and have anywhere that you want a break in the light to extend to another location, there is nothing else that is as highly recommended as these adapters from Litcessory. I purchased them based purely on those reviews (and largely due to there being no "official" and few other unofficial options for an extension cable that was not just another light strip). There is no doubt that these work, and they are almost as simple as advertised, so if this is a project you have planned look nowhere else. I purchased these and the 10ft extension cable to allow me to run a Philip Hue Light Strip Plus underneath the longest stretch of cabinets in our kitchen. The issue that I ran into was the open section where the range sat above the cooktop. Running lights under there would have looked strange since they would have been exposed on the sides of the cabinets, and ruined the clean look I was going for. Philips Hue does not make a lightless extension, so I had to find something that would allow me to run cable inside the cabinets, over the range, and down to the next section. I found these, and they really do work. The important thing to do when installing these is to watch the videos and read the supplied instructions carefully to make sure you cut the light strips in the right way. That was a bit more fiddly than I would have though, but ultimately not that hard if you were even considering installing the under cabinet lights yourself to begin with. Be extra careful with the male-to-female adapters since they are very fiddly to put back in if you accidentally remove them. If you are careful, they are almost literally plug-and-play. Now that I've had them up a few days I've had no issues with connection or synchronization between the split strips. Everything looks as it should, and moreso maintained the clean look I wanted under the cabinets. Take your time, read the instructions, and these will give you the freedom to design the lighting you want.

Works perfect with phillips hue light strip. The price seems a little high for what you get but the other brands similar to this item do not work well at all.

Terrible product. Does not work as description implies. The only instructions provided are for an older version and cause the light strip to short circuit and break. Also the material is flimsy and breaks easily.

Litcessory only has instructions/tutorials for the V3, but nothing for the V4. With the V3 you have to remove part of the plastic and use a special tool to bend the metal pins on the connector before inserting it. If you try to do this on the V4 connector, the connection will be loose and may not work. I unfortunately wasted a 2' section of a hue strip because of this. Turns out with the V4 the process is very simple, all you do is cut the strip on the cut line. Do not remove any of the plastic. The cut strip inserts snugly into the connector and holds well once closed. I would give this product 5 stars if there were instructions and I hadn't wasted a portion of the hue strip trying to figure it out. The process is so much simpler with the V4, Litcessory why don't you have any instructions for the V4??

Not much competition in this space for Phillips Hue LED strips, so they are charging a premium for what you get. Works well, really easy to use. In my case it was worth the money.

We are so happy to have found these ! The Philips Hue light strips are expensive and when you cut in in half, you want to use the other half. These connectors worked exactly as promised. We read the instructions and watched the videos on these before purchasing and again before installing. I was scared we would screw this up and have $60 of worthless lightstrip, but if you have basic homeowner fix-it skills, this should not be a problem at all. The tools needed: razor blade, needle nose pliers, and cutting board (so we did not mark up our counters). We used a razor blade knife instead of scissors to cut away the plastic casing and also to cut along the solder points (we did not have good scissors to use). That is a critical piece of information - that you cut where the Litcessory instructions tell you to cut and NOT where Philips asks you to cut. This way you can use both ends for connection. After cutting the light strip we used the razor blade knife to lightly lift up the metal contact points in the open Litcessory connector, slid in the light strip underneath the contact points until it stopped sliding, then closed the connector over the light strip. It did not close all the way and that is when we used our needle nose pliers to press down with more force to lock it into place. The connector has a plastic locking mechanism on the side of it. It was very helpful, that the connector can be converted to male or female connector very easily. Overall - would definitely purchase these again. What a huge, huge help it was to have these available to solve a problem that Philips should have given us a solution for ! Thank you Litcessory !

Senza questo connettore, l'alternativa per utilizzare dei ritagli della strip led della Philip Hue è fare 6 saldature molto piccole in meno di 1 centimetro!! Oltre alla manualità ci vuole anche la strumentazione adatta per effettuare le saldature, per questo io consiglio questi adattatori indispensabili per unire due strip led tagliate.. Sono semplicissimi da usare: si apre lo sportellino, si infila dentro lo strip led tagliato come da manuale e si richiude lo sportellino.. STOP! E il gioco è fatto... Unico appunto su cui fare ATTENZIONE è che quando si richiude lo sportellino, se uno dei 6 punti di saldatura non fa bene contatto avrete problemi con le colorazioni dello strip led (vedi foto!)... ma ve ne accorgereste subito ed è sufficiente cercare la giusta posizione di inserimento all'interno del connettore! Davvero spettacolari! Sono anche molto piccoli per alloggiare dentro dei profili metallici se si vuole avere un lavoro rifinito a tutti gli effetti! CONSIGLIATI!!

These are easy to install and work really well. I was dubious when I read the reviews but there didn't seem to be any other options. Basically I'm using my hue lightstrip on the underside of my kitchen cabinets to illuminate my worktop, and was having difficulty getting the lightstrip to 'turn the corner'. Mistakenly, I decided to cut it, thinking I could use the wire connector in the lightstrip extension pack to flex in the corner, and was dismayed that you can't reconnect a cut end. These connectors easily slide in to the cut end of your hue lightstrip, leaving you with a suitable end to insert the pins of another strip. I thought I'd need my boyfriend to help me with removing some of the sheath or doing some soldering or something, but you literally just slide it in. I wasnt too happy with the price, so I ordered "used - very good" condition from Amazon marketplace and there were no issues at all. The connectors don't have any adhesive on them so you may want to add a command strip or something. The brightness and synchronisation of the lightstrip isn't impacted at all by using these. Good product and easy to use. I think they're kinda overpriced for what they are, but obviously this brand has cornered the market, and saved me having to replace a ~£50 lightstrip so overall I'm happy.
