There are three types of speeds associated with the AP connection... 1) The speed of info from the TZ370 firewall to the AP > If using a non-SonicWall brand AP, then you probably will but can't guarantee since the TZ370 is not and cannot manage it. > If using a SonicWall SonicWave AP, you should have no problem because the TZ370 is managing the AP and the SonicWave Data Rates that are supported are "Max 867 Mbps for 5GHz radio, Max 400Mbps for 2.4GHz radio" and they include at least 1 RJ45 port that is "10/100/1000 auto-sensing". 2) The speed of info from the AP to the TZ370 Firewall... > If using a non-SonicWall AP, we can't guarantee because that is dependent on your AP's upload capabilities and port speeds and not sure what condition it is in and how current it is. > If using a SonicWall SonicWave AP, there shouldn't be any problem since each one contains at least 1 RJ45 port that is "10/100/1000 auto-sensing." 3) The speed of information from the AP to your WiFi devices, whether a non-SonicWall AP or a SonicWall SonicWave, we can't guaranteed because I don't know what type of WiFi devices you have accessing the AP, the Network Environment, where the AP is set up in relation to the devices accessing it and so-forth. With the non-SonicWall AP we have the extra aspect of whether it is a current model for the brand or not and whether or not if it has any unknown issues going on within it or not. I know that was a long answer to what you expected to be a brief one, but there are just too many aspects to how WiFI works in order to just give you a "Yes" or "No" answer. This sonicwall does have Gigports. There is multiple things that can effect your wifi speed. 1. If you only have 100 Meg internet you will only get 100 Meg. 2. It is based off you devices. If you have an access point that can handle 320 Meg but your device can only handle 100 Meg you will be limited to the device speed. I would be looking for what the 802.11 type the AP is. As I don't know why you would have still but 802.11b can handle 11 Megs. Then you go to 802.11ax that can handle 10 gig.
