Are you looking for some way to practice your 38 special / .357 magnum revolver? Are you tired of the really light and cheap snap caps that have no weight? Do you want to practice without unnecessary wear on your revolver? Well, you’ve come to the right place. I ordered these because I needed something to use with a Ruger LCRx. I typically don’t like to dry fire with hammer fired DA/SA type guns because of any risk of unnecessary wear or damage without a snap cap or rubber “o” ring on the hammer. Well, whether if that believe is true or not, I’d rather not take any chances. Then, I went to my “go to” online search at Amazon.com and found these. I quickly ordered them because I know that Amazon is great if these don’t work out. Well, they came quickly (within 2 days) in a typical padded envelop. Inside, there is a plastic bag with these orange tipped snap caps. Well, I quickly snipped the bag open and tried them in the Ruger LCRx. I was initially impressed with the quality and feel of the snap caps as I loaded them one-by-one in each slot. I shut the barrel and began testing them out. Trying them double action and single action, I can now practice, knowing that I am doing all I can to protect my investment. Conclusion: This also saves me time and money because I don’t have to go to the range as often and use up the expensive 38 special and .357 mag ammo for practice. While this will not replace you going to the range and actually firing live shots, this would be a great way to ADD more ways to practice. Time will tell how these hold up, but initially, I am happy with it. I recommend that you consider this product and add it to your practice tool box and routine.

These are nice just wish it came with one more so I can have a complete set in my revolver.

As trainer / practice dummy bullets these make it easy for a beginner or expert to recognize these as the 'Dummy' rounds. For a beginner these are easy to use for loading and unloading practice. They offer a way to use them and not be nervous that you'll do unwanted firing of your gun and a smart way to get comfortable doing it with real bullets. And when loaded with these dummies, you can practice firing and help protect the firing pin at the same time. For a less comfortable gun user that has one for self-defense, you can use these for the first and even second shots in line on a revolver, knowing that the first or second trigger pull are no fires (safty) and the following trigger pull will be those self-defense rounds. I do recommend these.

Being an NRA pistol and range instructor this are excellent training tools for class room and the range. I suggest if you’re serious about your training you acquire some. A+

Bought these to go along with my S&W J-Frame 38 Special to practice with at home. They fit well, just like the real thing.
