Good bang for your buck
Simply put, for the penance I paid for this violin, you cannot find anything better. I paid less than $150 for this violin. For that money you get a violin, with working fine-tuners, an under saddle pickup so you can go electric, a decent case, rosin, and a functional bow. Basically a complete ready-to-play kit of an instrument that is extremely versatile. I did need to do a basic setup and make some adjustments to the bridge height, but for this kind of money I expected that. It's easy to see where the cost savings came from, it isn't really an ebony board, it's painted black to look like ebony, as one example. But considering that it sounds fine and plays fine and it comes with all of the accessories, who cares? A perfect beginner instrument for a young kid showing interest in learning violin. Also a perfect tinker-toy instrument for the violin-curious musician to play with.

Good for the price
I bought this violin because I wanted to learn to play. I was looking for a violin that was going to give good sound without breaking the bank since I'm just starting out. The rosin was shattered, which I expected, but it did make a mess inside the case. One of the strings was broken but I had ordered different strings to put on it anyway. The case is serviceable and I have no complaints about it. The violin is beautiful. Might want to invest in peg compound for the tuning pegs, they want to slip and it takes a fair amount of force to keep them in place. Other than that, it's wonderful and not so expensive that I will feel buyers remorse if it doesn't work out.

Beautiful on the outside, massive internal issues on the inside.
For those giving it a 1 star, it’s because they tried fixing it themselves. This is coming from someone who played violin 20 years ago and is coming back to it. This violin is stunning in detail when it arrived, it is both acoustic and electric which is such a nice bonus to have both, the noise level is good sometimes great, and the quality is top notch for this price point. What is required is to go to a local luthier, or violin repair shop. I took mine in the day I got it and they said lots of work needed to be done to play it right away, when they worked on it, strings broke, it wouldn’t hold the strings, the bridge broke, and the bow lost a lot of hair, all on the same day. They quoted me a very heavy price to fix it and I did because I wanted a really unique violin. This is definitely that but the repair shop had a hard time getting it to work properly. Sad to say it doesn’t get a 5/5 because it was broken upon arrival, and in regards to playability, it sounds like when a kid gets it for the first time. Very scratchy and ear piercing, but that may be user error. Comes with the accessories needed, but the tune ability is very finicky. Stings will break is a guarantee on this one. So if you want really rich sound and playability, it’s again for beginners. If you want to find orchestra grade quality, your looking to spend 2-3,000 for one. This for what it is is unique and beautiful esthetic wise, but other than that, I think it’s a good price for what your getting, just expect to do some repairs on it when it arrives, also get better strings and extra rosin.

Daughter loves it.
Bought this for my daughter. 4 year student. She's has a nice violin we bought from music store, but she really like the look of this one. For the price i figured we would try it. This one was less than what we paid for her other one.... the tone actually sounds better and projects louder also. And loves it, just got it today and she has been playing for an hour already, no sign of stopping. She dose not practice her other one like this. Not sure if it's the butterfly's or tone... but it is working for her. And got it tuned fairly quickly. Well worth the money.

I love this violin like HELL! 🤩🤩🤩
What I love about it is the fact that is full 4/4, acoustic, and electric. Comes with an okay bow. Comes with replacement strings. And it is just beautiful. I highly highly recommend.

Beautiful but poor quality
Doesn't stay in tune (pegs slip). Strings are extremely poor quality and 2 broke during tuning. By the time you buy better strings and pegs you might as well have just paid the extra money for a higher quality violin. It is a beautiful violin though which is why I’m giving it 3 stars.

For beginners, says comes with rosin but didn’t, rosin very cheap to buy though so no big deal. Pretty pictures on it.

It is awesome looking violin, but - you can hear its price and it after so long still stays ultra out of tune no matter how hard you try, in next 3 mins it just is out of tune. BUT . it is great violin to find out if you want to play it or not, since price is low.

Bought as a good supplemental instrument. Pleasantly surprised how the violin looks. Better quality than expected and certainly worth keeping. Could use better strings but definitely playable for non professional.
