I do my best to be supportive of all organic farmers. Unfortunately this product is very old, as you can simply see by the color of the bean. They are especially dark. Pinto beans are lighter in color, depending on freshness. I soaked over night and cooked for hours. Beans still ended up hard.

Beans were delicious after soaking overnight and cooking to tenderness desired, but beans were slightly darker than I am accustomed. Not sure if something changed in soil - but also the ones package from California (within the last year) also have been a bit darker that I am used to. I hope it is still good Organic a.
