UPDATE: Still going strong the end of 2024. I admit, I was very surprised at the quality of sound and the actual volume that came out of this little speaker. I read all the reviews about the sound not getting through the pillow, etc., etc., (I put mine under my pillow but inside my pillowcase) I haven’t had one bit of problem… except when it gets turned over or twisted around in my pillowcase at night, but no biggie - just reach in the pillowcase and turn it back over. My husband can’t hear it even though I have it turned up as loud as it will go (I think that’s as loud as it will go… I don’t turn the volume of my iPad up any). If I lift my head off the pillow, I can still hear it, but it’s very faint. The best sound comes from having your ear directly on your pillow. It’s small, doesn’t slip out of my pillowcase (I’m not a pillow flipper). The charge lasts all night long. The only complaint I have is the charge cord is way too short! But it doesn’t take it too long to charge after the first initial charge. I would definitely recommend this little speaker and when mine wears out, I will buy it again!

Edit stopped charging entirely Sound is good but the charging cable doesn’t fit snugly and the light is blocked by the logo so it is difficult to tell if it is connected. The slightest jiggle like setting it down can make it loose connection. If the connection stays snug the actual speaker works well. But it is always a crap shoot as to whether or not the connection stayed snug long enough to charge

It's 4 speakers the size of a poker chip encased in a thick felt-like material. All 4 seemed to work when new. After 6 months of daily use, 1-2 work regularly. Given this thing gets tossed about, slept on (sometimes not flat) I'm surprised its still working at all. Wires break- it's no fault of the product. Connects easily via Bluetooth. When turning on/off a pleasant yet LOUD female voice announces "POWER ON... CONNECTED". Mildly annoying when I forget to turn it on before my partner falls asleep. (Sorry honey!) Adrenaline producing when I fail to charge it and it yells at me that it's shutting down in the middle of the night. Overall, it works great. I've tried numerous pillow/small speakers so I can listen to meditations at night (can't do earbuds- the hurt on side sleep and fall out during the night)... This one has been my favorite so far. I'll definitely buy another from this vendor once I finally break all the wires and it gives up the ghost.

I use the Drowsie Pillow Speaker with the HeadSpace app every night to fall asleep, and again during the night to go back to sleep (I also occasionally use it with Netflix or Hulu). At first I had trouble with the volume being too low, but I contacted Drowsie and they helped me trouble-shoot my iphone settings and now it works great! It stays right in place under my pillow without moving during the night (I don't feel it under there at all). If I move around I do have to move it to reposition it just under my head. My husband can not hear it at all and I like to set the volume low so that I only hear it if my head is on my pillow. I have it set for the power to stay on until I manually turn it off, which I do in the morning. I only charge it about every 3-4 nights (the charging cord is very short so I just use my kindle charging cord). I have traveled with it and wish it came with a hard case for protection. I can't recommend this enough! It is the perfect under pillow bluetooth speaker!

Undoubtedly, I’m guessing that there will be a newer version put out of this device that will include volume buttons. It’s on me that I thought that you could control the volume from the Drowsie itself, and not that you had to use your phone. I think this really makes the device completely impractical for what you’re trying to do. Every podcast, YouTube video, app has their own idea of what “normal” volume actually means, so this means you need to keep your phone close to you in order to change the volume based off of whatever you’re listening to that night. That really defeats the purpose of purchasing this item, with the intent of keeping your phone out of bed. I can’t tell you the amount of times I’ve had to get out of bed and adjust the volume, either because it was too quiet or too loud— not exactly what I want to be doing while I’m trying to fall asleep. There are some nights that I need different types of content, so I can’t exactly find a “base” volume that works across the board. Other than that, this device is cute, small, easy to travel with, unnoticeable under a pillow, has excellent battery life, and overall is easy to use. I’m just a bit disappointed that, especially for the price, it is not accomplishing what I needed to do — I still need to have my phone close to me in order to make this device work, and yes, it’s my issue that I can’t stay off my phone at night, not Drowsie’s, but it certainly isn’t doing what it claims by helping one to sleep better. A version where volume controls are on it would be 10x’s better.

Three days into use and drowsie had been on charge all day - drowsie worked for about 2hours As I woke and realised it wasn’t working I troubleshooted. No avail. I can’t believe the price point for this item that doesn’t work. Given my frustration I was unable to sleep thereafter. I have never been more compelled to post a negative review.

I have ADHD and find rave/dance music helps me quieten my thoughts to sleep but strangely, my wife doesn't appreciate 120bpm baselines. This little speaker has saved my sanity and possibly my marriage. I think you're supposed to use it between the top of the pillow and pillow case, but I've always used it *through* the pillow. Pros: * Sounds quality is more than good enough. * Volume is great without being audible to your partner. * As well as always on, there's a 2h and 4h timer option * Battery is good for 5 days on a 2h timer * It's the only flexible set of speakers I've found. All others have hard boxes, while I'm barely aware of these, even when I sleep with my arm under my pillow. Cons: * They don't report their battery level. I keep forgetting to plug mine in, so I actually have two with one always on charge. The older one always reports 30% charge and the newer one doesn't report charge at all. If you can trust yourself to plug them in every three or four days, this isn't a problem. * Very occasionally they don't turn off after two hours, and drain their battery. Weirdly, I think this is when Spotify runs out of music before the timer runs out, so the speakers stay awake. It happens maybe once a month, so hardly a major issue. For me, the pros massively outweigh the cons. If one of them dies, I'll buy another in a heartbeat.

I loved that it is as described. A little difficult when it needs to be charged, but with patience it is very doable.

This flat soft light pillow speaker is great to put on my pillow to fall asleep to white noise. Easy to charge and long life. When I had a problem with my speaker that wasn't charging properly, they replied promptly and agreed to replace it FOC. Highly recommended and will buy again. The treble stopped working for a while, then started working again. Strange.

The product does what it claims to and works really well.
