I bought 2 of these as an option to keep my Ring stickup cameras charged. Bought additional 10’ cables with barrel connectors compatible with Ring ($11?) that seemed fit for the purpose. Plugged it in and it topped off the camera’s battery from 92% to 100% in an hour. Provided enough wattage that the camera thinks it’s plugged into hard power and prompted me if I want to switch from battery. I tested it with my iPhone 13 and it provided enough power to charge it. Overall I’d say that this product is an excellent option for the purpose as well as providing alternate charging for small devices such as small battery packs or phones for camping/off grid applications. Only drawback over Ring’s $60 panel is that it doesn’t come with any type of mount. Easily fashioned though so…..5 stars overall.

Works great but it helps a lot better when the sun's out

I bought two of these. They come with the cables you need to daisy chain them together to cut your charging time by half. I plugged my phone into one right out of the box and it started charging in sunlight. At just 6w, these will charge a device rather slowly, so don't expect too much. After 2 hours in the sun I had a 10% charge. With a second panel connected I doubled the amount of charge in the same time. You can also charge two devices at once with the two-panel setup. These are great to have on hand in case the power goes out and you need to keep a phone operational. No power is stored in the panels, so these cannot power lights at night. They are lightweight and thin enough to slip into a backpack for hiking and camping. Also good for teaching kids how solar energy works. A good reminder of how much energy is going to waste. At this price, I highly recommend picking up a pair to keep with your emergency or off-grid excursion kit.

Received item inside standard Amazon box. Inside was the item in its original packaging. Box had several dirty smudges, ok perhaps the individual boxing it had dirty hands. Once opened, the wire insertion onto the panel was dirty, appearing used & there was a teardrop shaped 7mm x 3mm defect in the solar panel itself (basically a hole). In addition, the USB adapters, we’re not included. The unit itself seemed well made, minus the defect. Appears as if it may have been a return, that missed quality control. Amazon was great & promptly sent a replacement. It appears new, with all of its advertised components. As a side note, the adapters that insert into the unit are not at a right angle, which could cause the internal wire to snap at the point since once installed it needs to make a sharp right angle…I guess I will Wait & see. Just finished installing it & hoping it works. This is the 3 variation of solar panels I have tried with my 2 gen ring doorbell. Hopefully the 3rd time is the charm. Will update, I am cautiously optimistic, stay tuned…

If we go grid down, at least I'll be able to vape in the dark

It was able to charge my vape, in direct outdoor sunlight. When any clouds rolled over, it stopped charging. when I connected my iphone and power bank, the charging indicator was on but the device never gained any charge. It’s a small panel, I guess it’s not strong enough. I think if I bought a second one it might work. I probably will return this one and buy a larger one, because I want to use it to charge my phone. I would highly recommend if you live somewhere sunny and just want to charge a small usb item, like a fan, vape, earbuds, flashlight etc. at least where I live, one panel isn’t enough for iPhone or power bank.

Got these to trickle charge some usb lights in the garage. Even with little of no sun they keep the lights charged up. Would def buy again.

Total waste of money as it doesn't work. I've left it out to charge in the sun for days, and it still does not produce any power output. I would have returned it but it's just not worth the effort.
