Only problem in updates, requires an overseas site, which is identified as a possible unsafe site, and instructions are written in Chinese. The site here in the USA, California couldn't help me. Alex from c/svc.

Good Meter, Wrong Car
I purchased this item to specifically test what was causing the Check Engine light problem on my 2002 Subaru Outback. After receiving it I couldn't wait to try it out. To my dismay I kept getting a "communication error". It worked on my neighbor's car. Took the Subaru to an auto parts store where they used a Bosch OBD port tester. It showed that I had a defective O2 sensor. After emailing Ebestzone about this problem, I was informed that thistool would not work on my particular Subaru. Now the DLC ports are supposed to be the same on all vehicles. Evidently my Subaru has a proprietary connector. I sent this back for a refund. This has caused many lost days in troubleshooting. I would recommend taking your car to an auto parts store where they would read your OBD port for free (will not reset your Check Engine light). Or asking Ebestzone if this Diagnostic reader will work on your vehicle. Price is spot on. Meter functions well (on my neighbors car).

Bottom line is that it is an absolutely useless tool. Don't waste your money
Absolutely a piece of junk:1. no instruction how to do firmware/database updates;2. no error code explanation. For a bunch of codes, it just states either failed or pass. No explanation for what codes stand for.With or without owning the product, it really does not help to repair or maintain your car. Bottom line is that it is an absolutely useless tool. Don't waste your money.

Very disappointed that it wouldn't do what was advertised
Right out of the box would not link up to VW's. Very disappointed that it wouldn't do what was advertised. I suggest Amazone drop this product.
