My hips have gotten too old, along with the rest of me, to always walk on my own. I had use of an old wood cane, but I am so happy to have bought this one. It has a flattened handle (instead of the round old cane top) with an easy to hold and comfortable matte surface.I found it easy to adjust to the correct height. Twist the locking mechanism on the cane till it 'unlocks' the adjustment for the cane length. Make the cane length longer or shorter by pulling the inside & ouside tubes of the cane apart or closer together. Then find the hole that the push in 'button' fits into that matches the height you need.You can find the correct height by putting the cane next to you and find the height where the handle comes to your wrist-then make the button go into the hole that matches that height, then twist the locking mechanism tight on the cane. When the button is in the right hole, and when the locking mechanism is twisted tight, you are ready to go.I had no trouble at all with either step of adjustment. Just make sure to do the twisting untightening ring first to adjust, otherwise you will not be able to slide the inside of the cane up and down (to find the right hole for the button to pop out of).The loop handle that hangs from the cane top is handy.I bought a big foot for it that has four feet coming out from one, which works well, but I'm not sure the one foot that came with the cane wouldn't have worked just as well in most circumstances.I find the cane really sturdy, easy to clean, love the blue color....All in all a great first cane-I think it'll last a long time.

Purchased for husband for knee surgery. I liked Vive's because it looks very masculine and expensive. Adjustable cane height needed since he is 6'3", 205lbs. It's very sturdy, lightweight, and supports 250 lbs. We had access to one that looked too too feminine as far as color and pattern. I read so many reviews on others but this one won me over, as well as, my husband. I did buy a 4 rubber grip to replace the round rubber grip that comes with it. This eliminates having to lean it against a wall, chair, etc. to prevent it falling on floor, etc.. Also, you really have to read deep to find out that this cane has a Lifetime Guarantee! Very nice. Husband say it very comfortable feeling holding it. The color says black but looks better. More like a dark chocolate/black. Gorgeous looking. Looks like the picture. I've been walking with a cane since 2003, and this one is amazing. Solid plastic grip doesn't get hot or cold like metal, and doesn't get mushy or torn like foam. It's a wide grip, good news for a guy like me with wide hands. If you have smaller hands, that might be an issue for you. I'm 6'4" and did not have to set it on its tallest setting for a comfortable grip height, which is good news if you're taller than me or if you're as tall as me, but have shorter arms. Very well designed and certainly ideal for the big and tall crowd.

I would give this item a zero if that was possible. This is a cane used to help people walk; not a toy. It is troubling that Amazon would deliver one in defective condition. I just had a hip replacement and needed this cane for recovery.It appears that the cane sent to me had been repackaged. It had scratches around the item you turn to pull out the leg. The leg was clearly stuck and it looked like someone tried to use a tool to loosen it and pull it out.I am not certain where in the process the quality control enters, but this item should have never been sent out.Hopefully it won’t be again repackaged and sent again. This is a safety hazard as someone may not read the instructions and use the cane as is to their own peril.I am very disappointed in Amazon.

I find the VIVE Health adjustable offset walking cane to be an excellent purchase. It arrived promptly (in "no-nonsense" packaging). It is well conceived, nicely finished and an excellent value for the price. I am new to the use of walking canes and was hesitant about the offset handle until I tried it. I found it to be excellent, requiring no period of adjustment to be used comfortably. The quick and easy adjustment for length (assuming the user has no serious infirmity of the arms and/or at least one hand) is also a big plus. E.White

This is the second cane I have bought, the first being another brand. This cane by Vive is perfect for me! It is sturdy and beautiful. I like the handle - it is wide enough to be much more comfortable on the heel of my hand and therefore my hand gets less tired. I love the variety of colors - I chose the butterflies! I also bought Vive's quad foot and swapped it out for the traditional one that came with the cane. Now my cane reliably stands up, on cement, my old and uneven carpet, on stores' floors, etc. I am very pleased with this cane and I highly recommend it!

As a 6'2" man, I ordered this cane and found that the longest position it allowed was at least 3 inches too short for me. Many people do not realize that one's forearm needs to be horizontal, i.e., perpendicular to the cane, so that the back is erect. A shorter cane encourages a bent-over posture, bad for the lower back and increasing the risk of falling. I notice in the Amazon description, the company does not list the height range for proper use of this cane, which is unfortunate.

As a still young middle aged woman I wanted to look stylish even with walking difficulties. This walking stick ticks all the boxes and after a month of trying it out I can give a positive review. First it’s gorgeous to look at with beautiful coloured butterflies. Second it performs with great sturdiness so I know I won’t fall over. The sliding height is marvellous for whatever shoes you are wearing and for men their height. I have had many comments on how lovely it looks and being black it goes with any outfit I have. I wish I’d bought months or even years ago, I kept with my outdated crutch, but looked so NHS. This cane is just great support whatever your need is and I forgot.. it has a strap so that if you lose your grip it doesn’t fall on the floor. I didn’t use the strap until my son shouted that it was there for a reason and it stopped him bending down to pick it up! But knowing you will have great quality and at a very affordable price... would make a lovely Xmas present for someone you love who like me isn’t great on their feet, or for just support on a long walk.. the list is endless!

I have fibromyalgia and this walking stick is perfect. Far better than the one it replaced. It gives a good deal of support and the handle is wide so my hands do not hurt trying to hold it. It is very lightweight which again aid walking

Very disappointed as the locking button was missing and was advised it would not be safe to use without it. I ordered a replacement - but again it was missing the locking button.

This is a great product. I am elderly lady with balance problems caused by medical problems. I have used all sorts of walking sticks (canes) and this is by far the best. It has a very comfortable handle and I feel sure the offset handle helps balance. I sometimes feel slight back pain when using a stick but not with this one. The colourful pattern also makes me feel less of an old lady !

I occasionally use a walking stick, as though I'm in my 50s, I suffer awful panic/anxiety which makes me feel unsteady/jelly legs.. I also have back pain with osteopenia, and especially in bad weather conditions I'm apprehensive of falling. I have had a folding stick for some time, but that has become a little worn. I chose this product because of the design, the handle shape gives reassuring balance and a comfortable hand grip, the stick is simple to adjust to your height. I am definitely more confident to go out now. Extremely pleased . I also purchased a stick in different design, had sent to my friend who lives in Birmingham, she is an older lady with different health issues, she too has found the new walking stick such an asset, and is well pleased I treated her too.
