Intercession Saint Benedict Color Medal

Much better than expected. I bought one for a friend as a housewarming gift after reading of finding St Benedict medals in old houses to ward off evil and then bought one for my house. I was very surprised at how bright and vibrant the colors are (I got the silver one) and it's encased in plastic to keep it from tarnishing or fading. Not a cheap feeling plastic that will scratch or yellow with age. While if had a clasp for a chain, the X-Lg is too big to be worn on your neck. I'm normally not wow'ed by things like this but I was really impressed. Very good for the money and would recommend

Item came next day and I was surprised at how nice it looked for the price. I purchased the gold large medallion which was a perfect size, neither too big nor small, Medal has a solid thickness and good weight to it yet not overly heavy. Even better the medal is true to form with the exact Catholic representations of cross, rule, raven, and letters depicting the Latin injunctions. I am very pleased with my medal and carry it with me in my purse.

I am a former Benedictine monk and have had many St.Benedict Jubilee medals over the years, but this is by far the nicest one I've ever had. Beautifully made and a nice large size. Though I left the Order many years ago, I still like to have one of these medals around. There is a special blessing for this medal which probably would best be done by a Benedictine priest or deacon. They would surely know it.

Gorgeous.Large and quite heavy. (I got the extra large) I knew the dimensions, but having it on my neck, it dwarfs my standard medals and cross, both in size and weight (and brilliance) Part of this is because, though you can't really tell from the pictures, there's as much glass as there is metal. It has a very glossy / reflective appearance in bright light. In retrospect i might reconsider and get the smaller version. Now I feel compelled to get a larger cross.

I bought several of these medals over time. I really like the blue and red version of this medal.I ordered another one this week. But for some reason I received the black and red version instead of the blue and red one that I received before. Nothing wrong with the black and red one, but I prefer the BLUE and RED one!Why the switch?

I just received this a day ago and started wearing it today, so I can't comment as to the durability of this. I have it under my small cross, and I do have a concern of the cross wearing the clear enamel off of this. Time will tell.It is hard to tell, but the entire medal is coated with a clear enamel. It is quite stunning in color and detail. I am taking a star away because there is a few imperfections under the coating, small bubbles? It doesn't look like it compromises the integrity, but it's not as flawless like in the advertised picture, so that is slightly disappointing. Otherwise, it is quite stunning.

Husband is a St. Benedict College grad. Was thrilled to have this religious medal. He looks nice.He just got it. Will see if it stays nice and will let you know
