The gold-tone analog watch from GUESS is a great watch. The color of the watch is dynamic in different lighting conditions. It is accurate at keeping the time with swift hand movements. It's weight is comfortable enough to wear during my daily activities. Also, the size of the watch makes it an eye catching accessory that doesn't distract from the clothes you're wearing or the words your speaking.

First, the pros. VERY attractive watch. I've received numerous compliments. Though not advertised, the clasp offers 2 different positions for micro adjustment. Also, removing links is very easy (with the right tool). Just remember the pins are directional and doing it the wrong way could damage your tool/watch! I've been browsing other, similar watches. With the exception of the Seiko SUR434, nothing compares at this price point. I did try to get a couple of less expensive than this watches and the Guess had a noticeably better build quality. Also, the "diamond-cut" bezel throws light off very well. The cons: The date is almost as large as the window for the date, making it a bit harder to read. This is exacerbated by the fact that the crystal has a lens built into it. The problem is that the lens should also be a bit bigger. The size it is now, sometimes the lens casts a shadow on the very date you're trying to read. Reposition for a better look and then you lose focus. Another con, but this has nothing to do with this watch. It's just a part of having a day/date dial: The transition is slow. The date typically takes from 11pm to midnight to fully transition. While the day takes from midnight until about 3am to fully transition. A minor gripe. I work 3rd, on 12 hr shifts that spans midnight. That's why I wanted a watch with day. For it to not be clear what day it is in the very window that the difference might matter is unfortunate. Again, this is the nature of day/date complications in a watch and has nothing to do with this model. Though I am curious if watches that display the day next to the date at 3 o'clock instead of along the circumference transition faster.
