Nice Bowler for the price.
A nice hat, made of a felt like material, and stout, not thin. The band is a patterned dark brown, and not black, as it appeared to be to me in the picture. Has an elastic band inside, and fits my 23" head perfectly. I like the wide brim, and overall look is great. Not just a costume accessory as far as I am concerned, I use it for daily use, and have received many positive comments on it. I have another Elope brand hat, and have been pleased with the quality, value, and look of both.

third one I have purcahsed
I the past year I have purchased three of this exact item. I bought the first one as part of a "steam punk" retro style outfit I am slowly getting together...my wife commandeered that one because it looked good on her for causal dress up. I then bought a second to replace that one. The third was ordered when my mother saw my wife's hat and just had to have one. The hat is a reasonable quality for the twenty dollar price point. I think it is better than most "costume" items as it is nice enough for regular fashion wear. I would say the size of the hat is on the large end of medium or small end of large.

Great for costume purposes!
Got this for a Halloween costume, and it was great! There is an adjustable strap inside so you can fit it to your head. The quality and price are perfect for a novelty costume if you’re not looking to invest in a nice hat.

A Hit!!
Bought this for my niece for her 9th birthday earlier this month. She's just finished reading the third Harry Potter book. She absolutely loved it! I'm not sure who was happier with it~my niece or my sister! She put it on when she opened it and did not take it off for several hours. I also bought her a lighted Hermione wand, so she was ecstatic! Well worth the price...the cost of seeing the joy in her face was priceless!

I dont want to glue steampunk decorations on it because its so nice i want to wear it. Fits on male and female heads here.

I bought this hat without much hope for quality, but the hat arrived and I gotta say it looks pretty sharp. The felt-feel of the bowler is nice. The only thing giving away it's "costume" look is the slight ridge of the back seam, but aside from that it's a steal of a deal
