Lenovo Sierra Wireless Thinkpad Em7455 4g LTE Mobile Broadband

My thinkpad did not come with the wwan antennas installed. I was able to get the part from IBM for around 30. Installed everything myself, seems to work great.

This was advertised as for the "lenovo" "thinkpad" but is not on the whitelist so without doing a bunch of hacking around and voiding warranties you cannot use this nic on your thinkpad. Maybe this will work fine with other machines.

Although I am sure this will work on other Lenovo laptops it fails to boot on a Thinkpad T450. The posting didn't mention which laptops it works on. Perhaps in the future that can be added. The bios reports an unrecognized network adapter and requests its removal from the system. This module doesn't have a Lenovo FRU PN number on it but on the Lenovo site this model EM7455 has a FRU 00JT542. I took a chance because it was advertised as a Lenovo item. More research on the Lenovo website & maintenance service guide indicates that the correct item is FRU 04X6014 Model EM7345. For anyone reading this the EM7455 is compatible with ThinkPad T460, T460s, T460p, T560, X260, X1 Carbon, L460, P50, P70. I am returning this one and I ordered the another one and we shall see.

It is a joke. Does not work with X1 Yoga laptops. It should work but it doesn't. Bought 20 of them with 20 laptops and none of them worked,

sent back did not work on my laptop, even though it said it would. :-(

Easy installation (installed myself) and perfect function on AT&T network.

Lenovo has a whitelist for WWAN cards in the P51. What this means is that if you purchase this card rather than the official Lenovo FRU part the BIOS will refuse to boot. Do not buy this if you don't know exactly what you're doing. It is not an official replacement part, contrary to how it is listed.

Ha costado un poco hacer que funcione en GNU/Linux, pero ahora ya no hay ningún problema de soporte. El módulo funciona por defecto en modo MBIM, y require un comando "FCC auth" especial que asumo el gestor de conexiones de Lenovo envía automáticamente. Yo lo he usado correctamente en varios PCs, sin que fuera el Thinkpad específico para el que Lenovo los manufactura.

DasMOdul ist leider von Lenovo für den Einsatz im T440s aus unerfindlichen Gründen grsperrt. Leider wird dieser Punkt nicht sehr propagiert, Eine Frechheit. Lenovo läßt im Vergleich zu früheren T-Modellen von IBM sehr nach. Nach dem Motto: Plastik für teures Geld,ob Track Pad, oder kaum Steuerbarkeit ohne Maus. ES wird immer mehr an Teilen gespart,die aus billigstem Material und dann noch lieblos eingesetzt werden, nach demMotto:billiges besonders teuer. Es war wohl mein leztes Lenovo Gerät. Man bekommt bei Apple mehr Qualität für sein Geld.
