I love the magnetic phone holders. So many others block vents, are a long distance to the windshield, or don’t hold the phone straight. This one solves all of those problems. You can stick it anywhere, and the square head holds the phone straight. The tape sticks very firmly, just be sure to stick it in your car on a warm day when the adhesive can work better. Put the included metal piece in your phone case or stick to the back of your phone for it to work with the magnet.

Holds my S22 Ultra just fine, even on bumpy roads. I have a thin Ringke case and the metal plate is inside the case, holds with no problems! Couple of tips for the challenged ones out there... Double sided tape advice - CLEAN the surface you're mounting to. Grab some alcohol and paper towel and clean the spot until your towel is clean after wiping, the little included pad is a nice start, but all that stuff you wipe on your dash to make it shiny contains oils, waxes & silicone that are impossible to stick to, clean it! If it's cold outside, use a hairdryer to warm up the mounting spot and the adhesive after cleaning. If the mounting spot is really smooth or glossy, use a bit of fine grit sandpaper or green scotchbrite to scuff the small area up, this will give the adhesive something to grab onto. Wipe clean with alcohol after scuffing. Magnet to phone connection - The rubber pad on the mount provides friction and a grippy surface to keep the phone from sliding off, magnets alone are not strong enough to hold any phone in place. If the rubber gets dusty/dirty/oily there will not be enough grip to hold the phone in place and it will slide or vibrate off. Wipe it down occasionally with a damp cloth to remove any built up dust or residue. If your phone case is any thicker than a couple of business cards, you'll need to mount the metal plate on the outside. If your unsure, remove the case, place the metal plate between the case & phone (don't use the adhesive until you're sure it'll work) and reassemble, test the hold on the mount to determine if its strong enough for your needs. The only difficulty I had with adhesion was with the thin glue on the metal plate, it would not stick to my S22U, but I was unwilling to scuff up the back of my phone. A thicker tape might work better, but I found that the plate works just fine "loose" inside the case. YMMV. I really like the charging cable hook, keeps it close and tidy. The ball mount could use a bit more range or articulation, you might need to mount it upside down or sideways depending on your application.

It works The pivot point is not actually 360 it has restricted movement . Not what I expected but it is still usable. Not a deal breaker. Quality of manufacture is high.

I've had a couple of the WixGear "round head" magnetic holders installed in two of my cars for years. I've never had any issues with the base mount coming loose because the first thing I do is remove the adhesive they provide and replace it with my own double-sided 3M Super Strength Molding Tape. THAT stuff sticks like nobodies business. What I did have an issue with is, in one of my cars, the head of the round magnetic holder started to rotate. That's rubber part with the magnets under it. The plastic part behind it that attaches to the base was secure. Anyway, the phone would rotate and occasionally fall off. So I bought a set of these "rectangular headed" models. The news is all good. They fit perfectly on the existing base mounts. The magnet itself is stronger and holds the phones much more securely. The way that this head is constructed, there doesn't appear to be anyway it could fail or rotate. Great upgrade. If you don't need a magsafe solution, I highly recommend these mounts

The sticky pads that hold the mount onto the dash are useless (I've tried both). I cleaned the area (plastic area) with the pads provided, pressed it firmly for 2 - 3 minutes. Didn't drive my car for the next 2 days so the adhesive had plenty of time to set. Within 2 days of use a corner kept pulling away from the dash. Within 5 it came completely off. Basically the same process and outcome for the 2nd holder. I'm bummed that it didn't work
