The clock is so light. It’s not made of metal. My last clock that looked similar and smaller 9” weighted more than this 12”. But I love it. The lightness makes it easier to hang. It makes so ticking sound. The aesthetic is simple, classic and perfect.

100% Silent…just what I was looking for. Second hand runs continuously so no ticking noise at all. I can sleep with it on the wall right next to my bed. I also like that the time is easy to read and it’s not huge.

Very happy with this purchase! Looks great on wall. After reading reviews prior to purchase, I bought carbon batteries for this clock rather than the alkaline I would have thought required - let alone potentially harmful to the clock mechanism. Also, read several comments regarding the difficulty inserting the battery. After researching, I found that in devices that do not have a spring in the battery compartment for the negative connection, but simply a metal tab instead, you should insert the battery positive end first. When I did this, the battery was not difficult to insert at all. Very quiet, no detectable (to me) sound. If you do not read instructions, as I do not, when I ordered a second clock, I found the batterry type and installation procedure clearly written on the box the clock containing the clock.
