It’s also much more comfortable to remove compared to adhesive holders, which can really hurt when you take them off. Overall, a simple but very effective solution. One tip: make sure you fasten the tube correctly. The first time I used it, I just slid the Foley tube under the blue Velcro strap, and it wasn’t very secure. I was using the long hospital‑style Foley bag, and when I stepped on the hose going up the stairs—ouch. Once I learned how to fasten it properly, it held perfectly.

I like these straps to hold the catheter in place. They are comfortable and pretty easy to use. I was surprised today when it kept slipping down my thigh even after I tightened it up a bit. I finally took it off and put a different one on (same brand strap). I noticed that the silicone on the replacement strap was much “stickier” than the one I took off. I did not expect the silicone would lose its griping property. The strap was less than 1 month old and I wore it about every other day.
