Amazing camera but not work good with crop senser lenses
Great camera low light is amazing as it has full frame senser Slow motion is amazing Log profile for colour grading etc Bit bulky to carry If i like light then go for a6700 otherwise this is best for video and photo both

Pound-for-pound the best all-round DSLR on the market
I use the A7IV professionally as a video camera and stills camera and it performs both jobs brilliantly. The alternative options sold by Sony are 50% - 100% more expensive and for me, there's no reason to spend the extra money when that could go on lenses. 60 fps continuous in 4K + S-cinetone colour science and a very useable viewfinder, along with excellent in-body stabilisation make it a fantastic video camera. Reviewers online do bring up the rolling-shutter but as someone that doesn't do a lot of whip-pans in my work I've never found it an issue. Stills are great with the 33mp sensor an excellent middle-ground between detail and light sensitivity. It does have little quirks that you soon learn to live with - a card won't be readable in one card slot in order to format it, you change card slots and suddenly it is. It will tell you your card isn't fast enough to record in the video quality setting you have it on, you change card slot and there's no problem or it will give you that error message but still record. Strange little quirks which really don't bother me. All-round an absolute beast at a fantastic price. Can't wait to see what's in store for the Mark 5.

Overheating
The camera performs very well overall, but it does have a few drawbacks. The main issue is overheating when shooting in 4K for extended periods, especially during long events or interviews. It’s manageable for short clips, but not ideal for continuous recording. Ergonomics could also be better. After extended use, the grip can become uncomfortable, particularly on the index finger, and the body feels somewhat heavy over time. Another downside is that Sony does not include a charger in the box. That decision feels unnecessary, especially at this price point. Original spare batteries are also quite expensive (around 300 AED each), and in my experience, aftermarket options like Neewer are unreliable and tend to overheat. A good alternative is using a USB-C Power Delivery (PD) power bank as an external power source, which works well for longer shoots — but it must support PD. Overall, it’s still a very capable camera, especially when paired with a quality lens. Sony’s G Master lenses are excellent but expensive. I’m currently using a Tamron lens, and while it’s not quite as sharp as a G Master, the results are still very impressive for the price.
