Brilliant lens for Sony apsc cameras
I've had this lens for approximately 6 months and absolutely love it. I had a few reservations since it has a slightly more limited zoom range than its main rivals (Sony and Tamron) and doesn't have lens stabilisation. However, I have no regrets, the zoom range is just fine if you are prepared to move your position when composing and the image quality of the lens means I can work at slightly higher ISO values to avoid the risk of camera shake. The other great thing about this lens is the really short minimum focussing distance which allows you to get really close to your subject if needed, it almost feels like a macro lens. I have a Sony full frame camera but find myself using this camera/lens combination more and more due to it's smaller size and lighter weight.

Possibly, the only lens you will need.
This little lens is the most versatile and useful one in my collection. I had been using the Tameron 17-70 but this lens is so much nicer to use (I'm using it with my Sony ZVE-10). Nice and small (and light), it really punches above its weight, giving creamy bokeh that rivals my 30mm Sigma Prime. For most people, this could well be the only lens you'll ever need. The bayonet mount is weather sealed but you have to remember that the rest of the lens isn't. Having said that, I use this lens in my wood shop and even though there's a lot of dust around, this lens is fine. I honestly can't find anything about this lens I don't like

Incredibly versatile and crisp lens
Seriously, I didn’t expect it to be this good. I thought this was an entry lens for aspc cameras but man was I wrong. This thing outperforms nearly all the lenses I currently have that cost an arm and a leg compared to this. The value for money is insane. Through the roof. I could not ask for anything more. Fits perfectly on my Sony a6700 ASPC camera and is as sharp as ever. It is not heavy either making my everyday camera set up very ergonomic and convenient to carry. It functions amazingly. Aperture is incredible, zoom is amazing and sharpness is very consistent even in 50mm. Incredible I would recommend this to anyone looking for a good versatile aspc lens.

A must buy for your Sony camera !
I never go without with lens, I have a range of different Sony lenses as I shoot with the Sony ZV-E10, I shoot B-Roll and wanted to try different brands of lenses other than Sony. ... (You will not be disappointed with this 18-50mm lens from sigma!!) The blurred background of subjects is by far one of the best I've seen when photographing portraits as well as vlogging with this lens at 18mm , perfect! . Colours look great too. It's sharp , and focusing on like lightning with the right lighting conditions of course. A nice all rounder lens by sigma.

like having 3 primes on your camera at once.
Used for a trip in the lake district and was blown away, lens is absolutely great and extremely sharp. autofocus is responsive and quite. lens does have some slight distortion and fringing but nothing that can’t be sorted in post. overall a great lens perfect if you don’t want to take multiple prime lens about.

Great for everyday photography
I was looking for a general purpose lens to go with my new Sony a6400. I liked the fact that it had an f2.8 aperture throughout which makes it good for bokeh (blurred background in portraits) and was good for land scapes too. I would have preferred 16 to 50mm for a wider field of view, but the f2.8 swayed me, being better than f4 in low light situations. Performance is excellent. Crisp clear images, very good colour rendition and overall very good value. For me it is just right.
