I am really enjoying this head unit. i replaced the stock HU in my 2008 Ford Explorer, with this. The size is perfect in the dash; not too big, not too small. It over laps the factory opening without looking out of place. The mounting system is very sturdy and locked in place, as it should as it has four screws attaching it to the chassis mounted in the dash. the screen is resistive touch, but i don't see that as a negative as i can work the screen with gloves on that don't have the capacitive touch pad in the finger tips. Additionally, the screen is appropriately sensitive and responsive, even in 28 degree morning weather. i like the simple menus and layout of the screen. i like the "hard" buttons which have a nice tactile response to them. a drawback is that there is only one camera input, however, if an HDMI camera could be procured, then that may be an option. The sound quality is far above the OEM HU. I don't feel like i need to constantly try to tweek the settings.

Love the product! Purchased for my wife for the Apple Car Play. Instructions were easy to follow - get the din kit and wiring harness adapters for your vehicle’s make and model and make certain you have the right tools for the task! The trim moulding set and digital multimeter were very helpful for me. I installed a USB port in the storage compartment below the HVAC control unit, and connect the phone to this port. The photo with the wiring harness is of a 2011 Honda Pilot LX - only the Main Connector and Antenna Connector (Honda identifies as Connector A and Connector E) are in need of a wire harness adapter.

Don't buy this stereo. Problem this stereo has is the wired connection for Android auto or carplay. I thought in the beginning it was my usb c cable but after switching cables 5 times with different brands I search this model and saw other people having the same problem. Basically everything works perfect until for no reason it looses connection with the phone, after that is goes into this cycle of gaining and loosing connection every second. Sometimes disconnecting and connecting the cable from the phone works but other times it doesn't. This problem kill my ubs c port on my phone. I also thought the problem was my phone because after using the stereo for a couple months the ubs c port on my phone when crazy and it stop letting fast charge my phone. Switch to a new phone and after a month the connection problem came back after that I never connect my phone to the stereo again. It doesn't support carplay Bluetooth so at this point stereo is pointless.

This product seems decent. Maybe a bit overpriced for what it does. The toughest part is that it doesn't come with a single din mounting cage. The "generic" mounting cages available really don't allow you to screw the unit into the bracket (which is what this unit really needs). If you are mounting this in an older vehicle, you're going to have to get creative with the mounting process. Otherwise, it is a solid but dated (at this point) car radio that supports Android and Iphones. Everything seems to work as expected. The wish list for this one would include something that allows the display to pivot left or right. Wireless connectivity for the maps would also be great - especially if you use Android Auto. You might also be disappointed that the display gets drowned out if the sun shines on it. But it does what I need it to do (and expected it to do). I just wish it came with a mounting cage.
