Great Product, Great Service!
The media could not be loaded. I usually NEVER write reviews on Amazon, but mannn this product and the company’s great service moved me to write one.For the longest time, I had my eye on the Philips Hue Sync box with the TV light strip, but as you know it’s stupid expensive. So, not so long ago I came across the Tao X on Amazon and I got it to try it out.Let me tell you it is sooooo worth it. I have a 70 inch tv and it works fine. For the fraction of the cost you get the same results. There absolutely is no input lag, and the colors are very accurate! I have my sound system working with the lights, so no problem with that. Product 10/10!The other day it randomly stopped working, so I contacted the seller, the response was immediate and they sent me the new parts right away. Service 10/10!Overall I really recommend this product!!!! So much better then overpriced Philips hue!

Excellent Substitute for Ambilight That Can Be Used on Any TV
Have had this for a couple of months now and my wife and I love it. It adds to the experience when watching TV shows or movies and I feel like it's easier on my eyes with the diffusion of light behind the TV bezel. There are a few quirks with this, one of which is that in the instruction manual, you need to start the light strip at the corner of the TV that it tells you to. I didn't have plugs that reach far enough to start at the corner detailed in the instruction book, so my left and right are reversed. It really doesn't bother me all that much that it's like this and at this point, I'm not going to change it. Just be aware of that. Also on bright white/black scenes the light can take a blue-ish hue to it which is kind of jarring. I've gotten used to it by now, but I could see how that might bother people. Other than this, the color reproduction is fairly accurate.I also have noticed no latency (delay) in the HDMI signal, although I don't game on my TV, nor do I have any equipment that measures latency. It just doesn't seem like there's any delay at all.The app that you need to download to use is easy to setup and modify the lights if you wanted them to pulse to music or change the effect to breathing, etc.All in all, this is an excellent addition to any TV setup for a fraction of the cost of what a Phillips system costs.

Installed on 60" and the Apple IOS app is now available.
I purchased the app controllable version expecting that the IOS app would not yet be available, but reading the simple manual it said the app should be in the app store. I read in a previously answered question, that the app was coming but not yet available for IOS.Once I attached the LED strip to the back of my TV and I powered up the unit, the device was discovered through the app and I needed to create an account. I had to use the email option as the text option did not come through.I did have to temporarily shut down my 5ghz wifi network in order for it to connect to the 2.4ghz network. Once connected I was able to turn it back on with no further issues. Also I had 2 immediate firmware updates. In the app all modes worked fine, and there are also saturation adjustments to try and balance the colors if need be, but so far everything is matching pretty close.I did some Youtube, HBO, hulu and Netflix testing and they all worked without a hitch. Adds amazing effect and I am quite pleased with this purchase.I was planning on a DIY solution for this but didn't want to deal with piecing everything together. I was also considering another more expensive option which I recently learned of (Not the Govee, camera wouldn't work for me) but I was trying to see if the app version would get additional reviews and see if the IOS app ever developed.Well, I lucked out because this item had a Lightning deal just a few days before Christmas that I happened to catch so I would save some money, at which point I figured it was worth the chance. Having it now setup it, getting the IOS app and 2 immediate firmware updates, I would have been happy if I had paid full price. If you've never had this type of setup before and don't want to deal with DIY and figuring everything out this is as plug and play as you can get. Just need to deal with the network connection issue I mentioned above. Go for it if you have the right sized TV.Update: Removed a Star. Working great for me overall, but the device is only HDCP 1.4 and limited to 30hz. When removed from the equation able to get 60hz.

It has potential
I'm using a Xbox Series X and LG OLED 65" TV.With YouTube it looks great! But HBO Max and Netflix do not work!Messaged the seller. Will update the review if I get it fixed.Update: they fixed the problem with an app update after a couple days. I really like it now but feel like I'm a beta tester. Also the leds imitate the color red as magenta. But for the price, I will keep it. Hoping it improves with future updates.Update #2 It works fine in video mode but now I can't change the colors in other modes. For example if I want to have a specific color for breath mode the app has different colors, but no matter what I click it shows green on the leds. Tried showing it off to family and it was a disappointment. Product is not ready for retail.Yet another update (#3): I have a Sonos Surround system. I have a Playbar, 2 play threes, and one sub gen 3. For some reason Sonos does not have sound when the Xbox is set to surround dts, Dolby digital etc and the signal goes thru the Taox box. It only works in stereo mode. At this point there's to many issues. It has potential but it's not worth my time. Returning it.
