As good as Hayward chlorinator

This is not a replacement for the Hayward CL-220 off-line. It is supposed to be. The parts are cheap and immediately one of the check valve inlet cracked. Takes a while to get the leaks to stop. Use a lot of teflon tape. Finally, the control valve does not work consistently.. and usually it has to be near wide open in order to work. . Actually at this point (6 weeks installed), I have it all the way open and it isn't feeding enough chlorine into the pool. Hoped to save a few bucks, but it isn't going to work going forward. Time to get the Hayward brand that has worked well for me in the post.

What a pos. DONT buy. Bought as replacement my old hayward was leaking and this one has a block in it. And it leaks evcsessivly.

I have gone through several of the Hayward chlorinators and decided this time to try something different. This did exactly what it is supposed to do and saved me money. If your chlorine tablets are dissolving slowly then your pool is being chlorinated. It was a little difficult to tighten the hose but I did with tools and had no leaks. When reading some of the negative reviews, keep in mind you have to make sure you attach the correct fittings to each inlet/outlet. There is a certain way to do it so if your not sure google a video on how to do it correctly.

When I opened the original box,it was broken. I'm waiting for a replacement. I'll see how that goes. The replacement arrived yesterday and was perfect. It's installed now and I am fine tuning the chlorine. So far so good.
