After receiving this kit, we followed the instructions to the letter - even adding dates for watering to the calendar to make sure we were doing it perfectly... More than a week after the supposed date to harvest and we still have nothing at all. Not a single mushroom. We've had mushroom kits before and although they've often been tricky, we've always gotten at least a couple of mushrooms. I've had them in the exact same spot we've had this one so I really don't think it's the care or environment at fault - this kit is just rubbish. But worse than that was the seller. I contacted them to let them know the problem and they just really didn't care. They said we hadn't followed the instructions even after I showed them a picture of the watering schedule on the calendar. They were rude and dismissive. They said we'd not given them enough light even though light levels are not mentioned on the instructions at all. I did an internet check which said mushrooms prefer low light levels and we tried both that and a light windowsill and still nothing. To be honest though, even if we'd got hundreds of mushrooms, I'd never want to deal with this company and their awful "customer service" again.

Got this for my five year old, he loves it! Problem with order at first but lady actually rang me in response to my message and sorted it out fast and with great care! Even let me keep the ones sent in error. This kit is perfect for children or anyone who's had unsuccessful kits in the past like us.

After around 5 weeks, i had the first and only mushroom. 2 weeks later, i had 6. But that was it. This and following the instructions given to the letter, is very poor. Definitely not value for money.

Well, what more can I say....absolutely no mushrooms!!! Won't buy again, my grandson was really disappointed.

Very disappointed, does not come with the kit and container pictured. Very disappointed, it was a repeat gift so too late to return now.

Bought as surprise present. Followed brief instructions, but did not grow button mushrooms as promised! Waited patiently, but threw out eventually as no mushrooms appeared at all!
