As the previous review stated, many people are noticing the frames are all bent and then giving bad reviews. These are not fair reviews and these customers have probably never dealt with screen frame stock. It states right on the box, picture attached, that the frames are bowed by a specific amount depending on length. As the previous review described, this is so when you build your screen and press the spline and screen material in, it will counteract this bow and create a straight screen frame. This product is made in the USA, and is of great quality. Worked great for my project. Will definitely buy again

These are a little thin but probably average for this type. The finish is solid and they look good.

Worked great to build my window screens. Strong enough for window screens. But, like all thin aluminum, it will bend if you put too much pressure on it. You will need to deburr the open ends, but I think this is normal on all frames. Pretty easy to build the frames and it is pretty to cut with a hand saw and mitre box. For me the hardest part was to measure accurately and also cut to exactly to the measurement. I didn't want any gap between the window sill and the frame regardless of the fact that I had tension springs, so I guess I also made it much harder on myself to build it correctly. Make sure to measure all the window dimensions first, so you can plan the cuts of the frame to waste the least possible. You should be able to get at least 2 sides of a screen for each piece of this frame.

OK.... So I got the frames and they were slightly bent/damaged in transit.... and I did not think they were the right size that I had ordered? I requested the return and replacement frames. Upon receiving the new frames, they came in a box marked with a label as being the correct size of 7/16, and since that was the size connecters that I had ordered and since they were labeled 7/16 and since the replacement was exactly the same size as the originals that were sent, I just assumed that my measurement was off or that the frames were not exactly proportioned/sized. Later I began assembly of my cut pieces with the CORRECT 7/16 connecters. See the photo! The connecters would not fit into the frames. I had to sand a "ramp" onto the connecter to make them fit. Even then it was a oversized connecter and part of the plastic generally was sheared off when I forced the connecter into the frames. See photo... This leads to a bulging of the aluminum frame... at the connection point. Kind of frustrating to have to do all this extra work. but it was workable. the assembled screen frames are kind of strong. Not exactly square and true to the plane of the window frame but workable and because of the thickness of this fame as compared to the box store products, I don't think they will easily break. So Now I need a few more frame pieces because the length was not working out very efficiently for my 49"x34" window screens. At his time I somehow noticed or made aware that these frames have a stamp on the edges. See photo. They were all along 3/8 frames! Labeled and sold as 7/16 frames. I know 1/16" may not seem like much difference..... but that is very significant when the total width is just 1/2". And IT MAKES IT IMPOSSIBLE (almost) TO CORRECTLY BUILD THE PRODUCT. BE AWARE THAT THERE ARE SIZES STAMPED INTO THE SIDES OF THESE FRAMES.... What did you order?
