...one swing wonder & not the good kind
If I could give less stars I would. I have two images showing both sides of the axe where it split along the handle...after the one and only swing out of the box. I had a nagging suspicion it was already cracked when I inspected the handle, after feeling a rough line going along the area exactly where the split occurred but it appeared as just an unfinished portion of grain on the handle. I proceeded to see how this axe would perform and clearly it did not. The only thing I can say is that it did split the one log it broke on...and that was that... I forgot to add...seller has been contacted for return & has accepted (I gave the seller a good review as there were no problems with the order)...would love to review this axe in proper fashion

Works Great
Iv owned many axes in my life and its almost impossible to find a nice wood handled axe in any stores. Purchased this one as my previous one broke and it works great. DO NOT listen to the bad reviews. Those people do not know how to properly use an axe.

Great Axe
Have been wanting to get rid of the Cedar trees around the pasture and my chainsaw needs some work. Have used this Axe to chop down some 8 inch Cedar trees and it doesn't take very long to put them on the ground and really keeps it's edge.

Multiple Uses
This is a great multi purpose tool. Chopping, splitting, shaping, digging and probably more. Sharp solid and sturdy from a name I trust.

Busted handle
Bought this tool some time ago. Just now got it off my tool rack to get a dead stump out. Took a few swings into the dead wood. The bit got stuck. In the process of getting it out, crack! Handle split right below the head and down the handle more than a foot. I wasn't abusing the tool by any means. It should be able to take some abuse since it is an impact tool. Glad it didn't break on a down stroke. Now I have to replace the handle. Buy this kind of stuff local so you can take it back when it is defective.
