My kINDLE WAS A GIFT IN 2019After that. . I moved 5x in six yrs. Lost cord. In spite of age Amazon had a cord to fit. Info for what I needed to order was noted on bottom of Kindle. It also arrived on time. I am a happy customer.Linda A

It is compatible with D00901
At first glance, it looks like it’s not going to fit the Amazon kindle model D00901… but it does! And it works! Come to find out, any micro usb will fit. This is just an overpriced regular micro usb. Oops!

I have the original Kindle, which is the D00901 model, and this cord doesn’t fit it. This is just a regular micro USB.

Works on old kindle
The charger cum cable worked on an old kindle, 3rd generation keyboard. I am able to charge the kindle again. The charger and cable cable combo is pricey, in my opinion. I went ahead to buy it because it is specific to my kindle model.PS: I edited this review on May 30, 2022.

Worked as advertised...
Had an old version of Kindle e-reader; misplaced original cord and this one worked well. I always like a longer cord but this one was ok. Would purchase again if needed.
