The product comes with a magnet holder to attach to the iPhone. With just a magsafe case it doesn't hold well. This product is nice for all smartphones since it doesn't matter whether you have or don't have magsafe.

I was looking for smart solution to keep my water cup and painting palette in place when I draw/paint outside. I came across these, and I instantly grabbed the idea to use these as an alternative and smarter way to fixate my painting accessories to my sketching board. It is recommended though, to read about the 3M Commander tape before purchasing as this glue is used here. You will not be able to remove it unless you use sharp tools and solvents on your laptop case, which, I guess, few of us wants. If that’s the case, you will want to use something a bit lighter in strenght. For my own purpose though, it means the holders will not break loose. The 2 magsafe rings is VERY efficient though, and will sit very nicely on any object (yes, even plastic on a painting palette). The magnet holds metal cases beautifully, and will not release them easily! For any urban sketcher out there, this is a techy solution to your setup, but very nifty indeed!

It is made well from metal (the quality is evident the moment you hold it) and attaches easily plus is strong and secure. An excellent product.
