Sturdy, clear, good size, high quality
It feels quite solid and thick but good clarity of the glass. It comes in a cardboard box fitted quite closely to the bowl and I was at first surprised because I thought it could break easily with so little packaging, but when I picked it up and used it and cleaned it, it felt quite durable and so I understood that it might not need the packing that you otherwise would with more cheaply constructed glass (my perception). I personally love it. The stickers were easy to remove. I use it with my hand mixer and it has good weight so it doesn’t feel like it will fly out of my hands. It’s easy to clean and maintain that good clear appearance of the glass. The size is perfect for a larger batch of macaron mix (100g egg whites and 130g almond flour/sugar) using the largest size. The medium size works for smaller batches and the frosting/filling. I haven’t yet bought the 900 mL smallest size, and I’m debating on whether I need it, but I would love to have the set, as the bowls nest inside each other. It was a bit of a premium in price but definitely feels higher quality. Maybe the 900mL size will go on sale, so I’m waiting and watching but in the meantime loving the medium and larger size ones I have.

Superior quality very functional bowls
This time I got the 1500ml bowl because I have found the 2200ml very useful. As other reviewers stated, these are superior quality glass bowls. They are comfortable to grip because of the fairly wide rim and the thickness of the glass. I use these bowls almost daily: mixing up a few cans of tuna or salmon for salad or fish patties, mixing up pico de salsa or dips… I was surprised how much simpler and quicker it is to whip cream with a handheld electric mixer using a deep but narrow bowl, huge difference. That may not be a good thing because no mess whipped cream calls my name more often. As a senior, thinking of all the money I’ve spent on kitchen ware over the years, I’d recommend to young adults what they need for a well stocked kitchen: buy quality products that will last a lifetime and make kitchen work easier. These Hario bowls, at least the 1500ml and 2200ml, belong on the list. These are not the bowls for tossing a big salad, mixing cookie dough or cutting butter into flour when a larger wider shallower bowl works best. But the Hario bowls are great, very functional.

Wonderful Glass Bowl
This glass bowl was exactly what I was looking for to wash vegetables, mix ingredients and store foods. It's just the right size and I love it!

Great for making oatmeal!
I bought this bowl for one specific purpose. I like making old fashioned oatmeal in the microwave, and all of my other bowls have always resulted in the oatmeal bubbling over the top and spilling over onto the microwave turntable. This bowl is perfect! It is small, yet deep and tall. I haven't had any spills, and the bowl is not hot around the rim when I lift it out of the microwave. It's also perfect for heating up a big can of soup. It's not the prettiest bowl, but it's the perfect size. UPDATE 5 years later: I just wanted to update this review by saying that I still use this bowl every single day to make oatmeal. It is in perfect condition still. For those wondering about its exact size, it is 4” tall, 6” in diameter, and holds 3 cups of water if filled all the way to the brim.

Excellent quality
Love the high sides and narrow bottom of this bowl. It’s also oven proof! Really good quality glass.

Lovely bowl
It's a very attractive bowl; unfortunately, it turned out to be not quite the size & shape that I needed for a particular project, so I am returning it, but it's really quite pretty. Feels high quality; I would happily keep it if every penny didn't count, but since I can't afford to keep things I don't need, well... It really is a nice bowl, though.

Inaccurate description of height
Great sturdy bowl, but the measurements are incorrect. The largest (2200 ml) is listed as about 8.5” x 8.5”. Not true. The height is about 5”. I needed something tall. Going back.

This bowl is so awesome for baking, it's very tall but narrow, so the ingredients are in the middle, making it easier to mix. The glass material is sturdy, overall this is a great bowl.

I have received the three bowls today. They look good. However, the boxes say we must read the manual before use and to make sure we keep the manual in a safe place. There are no manuals in the boxes. Each bowl has an insert which is written in Japanese. I don't understand Japanese! Can you please send me the manuals - the box says handle carefully and I certainly will. But I would like full instructions for care. Thank you.
