I am reliving my youth through my teenage son. He loved this trapper keeper. He has gotten a new one every year since starting high school. It started out because he thought it was a retro and that would be cool, but now he absolutely loves it and says it's the perfect binder for what he needs to use it for and he likes that the cover looks old school.

After reading that Mead did away with PVC and other toxic materials, I was happy to purchase this cool bit of nostalgia!

Bought this to give to my nephew for this upcoming Christmas. I went through so many of these back when I was in school in the 80s. I just hope they are sturdier than they were back then. I'm sure you all remember the failure point of the Trapper Keeper which was the plastic would rip around the velcro. I wish there were more designs, instead of these 4. The 4 design is always out of stock smh. It comes with 2 folders, but I could swear they used to come with 3. If my nephew ends up liking it, I'll buy him another to show him how we used to slice one end, and put in a page from a magazine of our favorite rock stars. Sure there are only up to 4 designs, but I am grateful that they are still around.

This trapper keeper seems a little flimsy but I don’t remember them lasting the entire school year back in the day. I remember holding them together with tape by the last three months! Haha

Bought this Trapper Keeper for my middle school aged daughter and she absolutely loves it. Excellent quality and very convenient with the internal pockets and she especially loves the clipboard inside that she uses daily for writing notes in class. The retro vibes are a huge added bonus and she has had many comments from her classmates saying how cool and functional it is.
