Great Salt BOX!
This is a GREAT Product. There are a few things I REALLY Like about it. #1 - The lid is attached - so you can always find it. #2 - It matches our china. #3 - It has a large opening so even I can get my fingers in to get some salt to sprinkle. #4 - It is large enough (15oz) so I don't have to fill it all the time. #5 - The lid is removable so you can wash it without damaging the wood lid. And finally, #6 - It's attractive and makes a nice addition to our spice board!

I was tired of my salt clumping in this humidity so I searched reviews for the best salt cellar. So far this is doing a great job. It’s cute, easy to use, and amazingly no clumps. Easy to fill and easy to use. Has a large opening so even bigger hands can grab a pinch. I have small hands but my husband’s obviously are larger and he has no problem getting a pinch of salt.

A excellent addition to my kitchen
Salt cellar looks so good on my counter. I have had a salt pig for years but I am alway dismayed whenn I'm moving quickly to salt my cooking and some spilled on the counter. in addition I never liked the open pig near the cooking food so I had to leave it a few steps away. specks of crumbs and other things could easily fall in it. This salt box keeps the salt tidy and is wide enough to add a small demitasse spoon or teaspoon measuring spoon inside ( if you don't like to pinch the salt with your fingers). I also need to mention the color is an excellent shade of green! I love it

Beautiful. Well designed and easy one handed use.
This is an example of money well spent. It's a flawless design. Simple yet elegant. Balanced in design. I can prep food and use my "clean hand" to grab salt with a simple lid flip. When cooking, I can keep the wooden spoon in one hand while stirring and use my free hand to grab salt. So convenient. Most of all, it holds 15 oz of salt compared to those wooden, two handed discs. I love it.

This is a functional piece for any kitchen
We love the functionality of this piece so much we bought it for a friend for a housewarming gift. I love that I can grab a pinch of salt with one hand without taking off a lid and setting it on the dirty counter. I searched a long time for other options, but this seemed like the most functional. It will be used and loved! Not quite five stars for the negatives listed below. Negatives: -A little large for our counter and cooking needs -lid seems a little flimsy -expensive

perfect
I wish I had bought this from the start. saw this from reviews. PROS roomy stores a lot of salt, so less frequent need for refills beautiful and well made CONS I don't really have a use for the handle, but it's cute.

Great product
Holds a lot and easy access. Good quality build. Looks great in the kitchen and is easy to carry around. The hinge is a little weak, though. Otherwise an amazing product

Looks nice; mostly functional
My wife wanted a salt pig, which I had never heard of. When I looked them up I couldn't imagine buying one without a lid. I got this one because it looks nice and has a lid. The whole point of a salt pig is to be able to quickly get out whatever salt you need with minimal effort. I'd say this is good for that. You can open the lid and get some salt with one hand. The only real concern is spilling some salt on the way to wherever you're putting it, which usually happens. Because of that, I often find myself reaching for the salt shaker instead. With salt shakers, however, it can be difficult to tell how much you're putting on. Overall I can't really fault it in any way. But if I could go back in time I probably wouldn't have bought it. At least it looks nice.

This salt pig was recommended by the Serious Eats team and was cheaper in Australia than the US (presumably as it comes from Japan). Everything that the Serious Eats article rated such as the easy open lid and large capacity is true. Attractive design and easy to use. Highly recommended.

Looks good, the screw for the lid was bent and hindered the lid opening and closing but I was able to bend it back.

I’m a big fan of this salt crock. Large opening to both fill and get salt out, and a lid that is easy to flip open with one hand. Fantastic!

The handle is great and it fits a lot, so no constant refilling, and it's easy. The colour is so pretty!

I could probably do without the little handle (don't find it useful and it bumps against the backsplash), but otherwise it's such a nice salt box! I have a one for kosher salt and one for sea salt, which are nice to use in pinches, by hand. I love that I can flip open the lid a bit with the back of my hand and grab a pinch of salt, which will then close on its own. I don't think I'll get one for regular table salt, though, since that's something that works better in a taller jar (I spoon it out for salting water, or for baking).
