Williams O-471-3/4 to 2-Inch Adjustable Pin Spanner Wrench

They seem well made but I don’t see the short handles giving the leverage needed to open most hydraulic cylinders and any type of “cheater” I am sure would result in a broken pin. I will keep them but I think most cylinders will still have to be broken loose with a large pipe wrench or chain strap wrench which was the whole purpose I bought these. I am tired of my pipe wrench and chain strap wrench chewing up the caps on my cylinders I rebuild. Will be nice on bearings though.

This is a very well made spanner wrench. It fits my lathe tools perfectly that have a 1/4" hole. But the ordering process on Amazon is confusing. I clicked on 6-piece and at the bottom of the page it shows 6 spanner wrenches of various sizes. So I thought I was getting 6 wrenches. But I now see that the heading at the top of the page says 1 3/4" to 3" spanner wrench which is exactly what I needed. So, I'm satisfied, just confused with their display.

I've been working on my space ship for over a decade and have finally gotten to the hydraulics. This is just the tool I need to tighten up the actuators on the landing gear and the blast shields.

They were pricey but made in USA and the quality is good. I can't complain compared to the chinese junk alternatives I was looking at.

these are worthy tools to have when working with hydraulic cylinder rebuilds.
