With only two parts of it, if you use that as a cover, you can’t put any ice under it!

I've always wanted this kind of serving tray. I finally found one and loving it

It appears in the pictures to be 3 pieces however it is only 2. You have to flip the lid over and put ice in it. But then you don't have a lid to cover your food. The one I recieved had been returned by someone else as it had a sticker saying so . The repackaging plastic is melted on the side.

I was worried about it looking cheap, but it worked out great. You can put ice in the extra part to keep things cold, then when you’re done, dump the ice out and put it on as a lid to keep contents fresh in the fridge.

I took it to Thanksgiving dinner. This is what I used to fill up the tray: 8 Mandarin oranges, 1 lb of grapes, 5 sliced kiwi fruits, 1/2 cubed pineapple, plus half a peeled Texas red grapefruit (for the center). To me, the tray was colorful, bountiful and beautiful. But it was barely touched because there was so many other things to eat. So each guests took some fruits home to help me dispose of it. I felt embarrassed for bring in something so undesirable.This tray is too large for fruits which are not much loved by Americans. What we really need is a smaller and shallower tray and just have a symbolic amount. I must point out that there are no other trays on amazon.com. You might be better off to get some disposable ones.And the product description is misleading. There is a picture showing a lid, the container and the ice tray. Since I only have two pieces, i looked all over in my pantry for that missing piece. I was mad for having misplaced it and ready to order it again. Then I read others' comments. There are only two pieces!! So it you want to take the tray to a party, you need to wrap up the tray with plastic wrap in order to carry it.
