No subscription required, top quality features and video
The main thing about the Eufy doorbells and cameras is that you do not need to purchase a monthly/yearly subscription to still have top quality features which other manufacturers provide on subscription. The button/camera unit was easy to install, coming with drilling templates and screws and wall plugs. You should charge it up via the included USB cable (but you need your own USB power supply) before installation, so that you can check the video coverage angles and best position for installation before drilling holes and mounting. If you don’t want the slight inconvenience of having to take the unit inside and charge it every 3 to 4 months, the doorbell can be powered from an existing AC doorbell transformer supply. The internal battery charge will last several months depending upon the features you turn on and how much video you capture. You will get an alert to charge the unit when needed in the app. The HomeBase (HB) unit can be positioned anywhere within your home that has WiFi coverage. When the doorbell button is pushed, the unit itself rings, as well as the HomeBase unit. You can also have alerts on the app, and on Amazon or Google smart speakers or hubs. Using the app, you can have a two way voice conversation with the caller, whilst seeing them on camera. You can also see the video from the doorbell on smart speakers that have screens. The doorbell lower camera can be angled independently to look at your doorstep for parcel deliveries, and when those are detected, the machine learning (AI) of the HomeBase can then provide further alerts if the parcel is moved after delivery. The HB3 (details below) increases the accuracy of this system, as well as adding further detections for vehicles, animals and people seen by the cameras. Eufy have addressed security concerns that were raised in December 2022, in terms of video streams being unencrypted and publicand have locked down a lot of the security since then, with streams being created with different identifiers each time, and having a finite time before expiring. Updated: As of June 2023, the HomeBase 3 unit now supports the dual camera Eufy S330 doorbell. Migration requires removing the doorbell and HB2 from the app, which will result in losing any recordings you have saved – so do consider backing these up or exporting them if needed. Pairing the doorbell to the HB3 is as easy as the HB2, however the HB3 has a SATA connector inside to add a 2.5” SSD/HDD to increase storage capacity, as well as supporting additional Eufy cameras. For a limited time Eufy has offered trade-up deals for the HB3 in the app, with about 30% discount off full price.

Good quality, no subscription fee, easy to setup, works with existing mechanical chimes.
Very happy so far. I replaced a traditional push button bell with the S330 and have it hardwired. Being hardwired means there’s constant power and the old mechanical chime works perfectly. Video quality is good. A push of the doorbell button results in an almost immediate response from Amazon Echo and the Eufy Homebase chime, there is zero delay for the mechanical chime. Packages left on the doorstep are highlighted and alerts are sent to your phone, if anyone approaches a package another alert is sent and video is recorded… you can optionally set the doorbell up to play a recorded message to anyone that approaches a package but I haven’t tried that. Lag for sending prerecorded messages is more noticeable but nowhere near as bad as some people have reported. Only real negative is the relatively large size compared to a Ring Doorbell.

Good quality device that suffers in some areas
As a family of Eufy converts we already owned a wireless doorbell and a variety of security cameras all linked to a Homebase 2, but the lure of a wireless doorbell with a secondary down facing camera meant a further £130 (deal price) was spent out and, overall, we're pleased with the results. Here's a quick-ish rundown of why: The forward facing camera is still good quality (2K) and captures great detail (good lighting and picture quality both day and night via Infrared and spotlight). The downward facing camera produces slightly sharper images than the front facing camera, providing slight colour differences (likely uses a different lens/sensor etc.), which is fine. The hardware and A.I. based algorithms and such allow the dual camera doorbell to offer improved motion detection compared to the standard wireless doorbell, and there are less false alerts. The sensitivity settings work slightly better and recordings capture people a second or so sooner and stop recording quicker when people walk out of range, which means more details about visitors and less memory wasted as less empty or useless video footage is stored on the Homebase 2. As before, the local storage is the huge plus about this camera doorbell (no subscription fees necessary). It's still slow to feed notifications to our phones and devices. Alerts appear 4-5 seconds after motion activated detection and 2 -3 seconds after the doorbell is pressed. Most (not all) legit visitors are willing to wait for the 5-8 seconds it takes to wait for the notification answer the doorbell, and those less-than-legit visitors, who won't be ringing the doorbell(!), are caught on a motion activated recording anyway. I wish the notification speed was a little faster and noticed it was noticeably quicker whilst testing with the doorbell 2 feet from the Homebase 2, but slowed down to similar speeds as the original wireless camera doorbell once placed 5 feet away on the other side of the front door (glass and wood construction seems to affect the signal). The BETA features (at time of writing) seem a bit weak and useless. Radar detection works and alerts of movement seemingly picked up separately from the AI based image processors, but in practise it means two alerts are sent: One saying 'something set off the device', and another standard notification telling you of motion activation trigger or doorbell press. The parcel detection works... sometimes. But if someone drops a parcel in the porch you get told that a visitor has activated the motion detection etc. so that doesn't seem hugely helpful. It is early days though, so maybe it'll prove to be a good feature. We haven't activated the 'Anti-Loitering' feature as we don't want local youths throwing eggs and the like at our house (!) and it only allows individuals up to 60 seconds grace before being told to 'jog on', which probably wont best please the supermarket delivery drivers. The battery seems decent (similar to that in the standard wireless camera doorbell) and all the doorbell chime and audio settings (speaking to visitors through the app) work well. On receiving the unit we did have issues with it not sending notifications at all. After a couple of hours trying every suggestion offered by Eufy online we fixed the issue by deleting the Eufy Security App on our phone and reinstalling it. Turns out there was a new version that seems necessary for the Dual Doorbell to work and our phone's hadn't auto-updated the older App for some unknown reason. So it's not cheap, but the ability to see what's on the floor in the porch is wonderful (no more guessing if the delivery agent left the package our of sight of the road) and the improved AI and the resulting reduced false-alerts makes this worth the upgrade in our opinion. If only Eufy could speed up the notification alert times and make the App a little more stable it would be near perfect. Right now we'd give it 4 or 4.3 out of 5.

Peace of Mind Maker
Brilliant item! I honestly wouldn't be without this now! I ordered this after some horrid person was wandering around my property and trying to get in! Thankfully my dog scared him off! So now I have this doorbell, the quality of the video is excellent!! I'm not that tech great and it was easy to set up. I've not really used the spoken audio but I'll use it eventually. The parcel minder works quite well, and I like how it is linked to my Alexa. I've also got this set up with a 3 pin plug electricity supply and it has been working a treat. I did have cause to contact customer service with an issue related to my own actions and they were brilliant: quick to reply and swift solution. The motion detection is really good, and has good choices when altering the sensitivity. Out of all my camera systems with motions, this is hands down the best in sensitivity and functionality. The only thing I'd do different now is buy the base 3, and this dual camera was it the 330 - as I think the base 3 is more future proof than the 2. But buying this combination was a good price point that really reflects that and I think as I was skint at the time it was also a problem solved at a good price - so I'd probably make the same choice and buy this combination again. It turns out I have a couple of Eufy and Anker products and they are all very good. Side note, the box and their website gives the US customers links to 3 pin plugs to deliver power to the doorbell, but not reallyl for the UK. I did actually buy one that had the same specs as the one recommended for the US customers (wats amps etc etc) and used that, and have been for 6 weeks so far.

Issues with lag and Alexa
I work from home in a small building behind the house. As such I couldn’t hear the previous doorbell because it didn’t have a long enough reach, so we decided to get a video enabled one and an echo show to integrate it with. I had high expectations for this doorbell, as I’ve only had great quality products from the parent company Anker. Installation was simple enough and the setup was easy. Adding the doorbell to Alexa also proved straightforward and all seemed well. The biggest issue with this is the lag. When the doorbell is pressed, there’s a good 4-5 seconds before either my phone or the echo displays a notification, and then a further delay as the eufy security app loads. In the end there’s a good 10 seconds before you see who’s at the front door. The second issue is that you can’t actually talk to whoever is at the front door through the echo show, only the mobile app. I felt this was very misleading as the marketing states this is ‘compatible with Alexa’. Another issue is that the ‘live’ camera view is actually a playback from the base station. The timestamp I’m the corner of the screen shows that it’s roughly 40 seconds behind (could have been 60 seconds, I can’t remember exactly now). When you respond to a doorbell press event, and you’re on the mobile app, then there’s also a delay between you speaking and what you said coming out of the unit. I ended up buying a ring 3 doorbell and I no longer experience any of these issues; the delay between a doorbell press and the video feed is around 2-3 seconds and I’m able to respond immediately through either the echo show or via the app. I’ve responded to the doorbell from London and was able to hold what felt like a normal conversation with the delivery person! In conclusion, I was very disappointed by the eufy video doorbell. You’re much better off getting a ring doorbell (plus it’s cheaper, even if you factor in the £3.49 per month for the recording protection).

Eufy dual cam doorbell & hub
I've used cheap cameras that have been "ok" but failed quite quickly, I've also had a xiaomi doorcam, that failed in 6 months & didn't have great battery life.. My last cam before this was a Blink doorcam, battery was good, picture quality was good, but at around 14 months the lens failed, it clouded up internally, also, without a subscription it has SERIOUS quality of life usage issues.. The Eufy is completely different, everything works perfect, thumbnails on preview vids, updating the main video thumbnails, all notifications etc and the picture quality is excellent.. only had it for a couple of weeks so can't speak to durability, but the battery life seems fine, and overall its the best one I've used yet..

Very good but has a short battery life
Works very well and is easy to install but has a short battery life as my house looks directly out onto a path and road around 1.5M from my front door so it detects a lot of events during the day. The battery would only last a few weeks in my case due to this and I have since added a mains transformer to eliminate the problem. Detection and picture quality is fine and the second camera looking down at packages is a godsend for when the courier simply leaves them on the doorstep and walks away (yes I'm looking at you Amazon, by far the worst offenders!). I have knocked off a couple of stars purely due to the lack of battery life which is nowhere near long enough in my usage case. I would much rather have had the option to buy a unit without the battery as this would have been cheaper and smaller, such a unit is available in the U.S.A. but not here in the U.K. yet. I got fed up waiting for the wired version to be released here so ordered this one instead. Other than the battery issue it works just fine. It's a little bigger than I would have liked (again due to the battery) but not unsightly and I have gotten used to it now.
